On tap at Cellar 3. It pours black with a tan head. The aroma is very nutty with some bourbon, coffee, oak and caramel. The flavor is sweet with caramel, vanilla and a good coffee kick. Draft at Bittercreek during the recent tap takeover.. Inky black with dark brown head that dies back as quick as it rises up... Thick coffee and bourbon combine with milk chocolate sweetness to tie everything together.. Thick and coating on the palate.. Incredibly rich.. This is a huge winner. It would be a shame if this never saw the inside of bottles.. and those bottles didn’t make it to Boise.. Hint Hint. Certainly as good as any of the hyped stouts I’ve had recently.

GABA video, draft. Blank walnut head. Aroma molasses, coffee, dark fruit. Taste dark fruit, molasses, coffee, a little soy. Vanilla, cookies. Palate nice and rich. This is sweet but super good.

Pours a deep black on tap with little to no head or lace. Aroma of big bourbon barrel notes with a hint of roasty back end. Taste follows, huge on the vanilla and chocolate of the barrel, slightly warming from the booze. Draught at Green Flash Cellar 3, Poway, California. Opaque black beer with a nice lasting beige/brownish head. Roasted chocolate and coffee aroma, caramel, figs, raisins, toffee notes, tar, some licorice, woody, some vanilla. >> Clear deep red pour with reddish low foam. Aroma is Frangelico and imperial stout blended like a mixed drink. Oily body with hazelnut syrup, gritty raw coffee, Wendy’s Frosty or chocolate malt as in milkshake flavors. Coffee part could use a bit of work, but the base beer is very good.

Poured a black mahogany color with two fingers of dark tan head when I got it. Above average spotty lacing on the sides of the glass. Above average retention. (Sight - 4.00)
First thought on the smell was wow. Got dark fruits, deep bourbon, black coffee, caramel, toffee, chocolate ice cream, vanilla and late butterscotch. Very good. (Smell - 4.50)
Taste followed the nose, but maybe not quite as good. Got chocolate syrup, vanilla, creamy toffee, caramel, roasted coffee malts and rich bourbon. Tasted nowhere near 13.1 percent, maybe like 7 tops. (Taste - 4.25)
Full body. Creamy texture. Lively-to-fizzy carbonation. Long, smooth finish. Probably a bit too cold. (Feel - 4.25)
This was just a really good beer. Would love to try the regular version. (Overall - 4.25)
