Tap at Rattle N Hum. Deep black pour. Creamy tan head that sticks around for a long time. The aroma is quite nice - lots of dark chocolatey malt character over a fairly light palate. Definite dark malt character but in a fairly light approachable body. A touch of light licorice as well as a bit of soft herbal/fruitiness. It’s kind of thin for the style and it comes across oddly clean - more like a schwarzbier or something... not really complaining though, just observing. There is also a touch of US hops on the back as it starts to warm. nimbleprop (8708) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - JAN 29, 2014
Park West Porter on tap at PPD. Pours a nearly opaque deep brown with some thin, off white head. Nose is interesting, almost a hint of sourness, toast, malt, straw, light nut. Flavor has no sourness Which Is good, some toasted wheat, a little cherry, malt, bread, black pepper, smoke. Dry finish. A little strange for my taste. jredmond (8508) - New York, New York, USA - MAY 4, 2010
Draft at RnH in Nyc with Andrew. Pours a deep dark brown body with some nice off white lacing. Aroma is deep roasted malts, bacon, and burnt crisp... Full and delicious. BMan1113VR (7930) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUL 15, 2012
On tap at Green Flash. Pours with a near black body and a medium sized tan head that lasts. Aromas are malty (complexly so). Cola, brown sugar, bready, leathery, chocolate, with some tobacco and toasted malt notes. Flavors are leathery, cola, chocolate, coffee, toffee. Pretty strong bitterness, but an overall neutral balance. Medium-full carbonation, medium bodied but a bit on the drier side. vtafro (7445) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - DEC 24, 2010

This one poured a medium brown color with a beige head. Aroma was of light roast, chocolate, and mild hops. Flavor was watery, and brown malt, not really porterish im looking for. Suttree (6484) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 2, 2013
On tap at Suttree’s Tavern as "Park West Porter". Black, with a creamy brown head. Smells like espresso and dark chocolate. Taste is more of the same. No surprises, just a solid, well made porter. JohnnyJ (5569) - San Diego, California, USA - NOV 10, 2010
