Draft at The Birch. Dark brown pour with a short tan head. Nose is nutty, fruity and slightly yeasty with caramel, toasted malt and dark bready notes. Taste is soft fruit, nutty, Belgian yeast, toasted dark bread, sweet malt, caramel notes and soft hops. Medium bodied and slightly chewy with a dense bubbly carbonation. Ends with more nutty flavors, Belgian yeast, soft fruit, toasted malt and dark bread. I’m thinking there may be different styles of Treasure Chest as some early reviews mention golden ales. This is certainly a brown and as I recall, 5.7% ABV. oRos (1675) - sacramento, California, USA - OCT 25, 2013

16oz goblet at Lucky Pie LoDo. Pours a hazy amber with some spitty white head. Nose is sugary, malty, raisin, prune, pear. Flavor is sweet and malty, pear, clove, apple, brown sugar, yeast, candy. Smooth finish. jbeatty (1247) - New York, USA - SEP 19, 2013
Review from backlog, tasted 08/14/2011. Pours translucent copper, fluffy white head with great retention and lacing. Aroma is fresh, soft yeasty nose with herbal hops, brighter citrus notes as well, and lighter biscuit malts. Taste follows the nose, with more citrus hop flavor coming through, light malt backbone and finally a hint of brett. Thin in the mouth, but sharp and crisp, creamy carbonation, fairly drinkable. Enjoyed this one. drowland (8629) - Georgia, USA - JUL 30, 2013
3/28/13. Sampled during CBC 2013. Orange pour with a small khaki head. Citrus, Belgian yeast, light bready malts in the aroma. More citrus in the flavor, lemon and grapefruit, with yeast funk and pale malts. Not bad.
