Murky orange color. Sour aroma, with traces of acetone. Dry mouthfeel with light bread touch, followed by wheat, and quite strong acetone. Messy.
A: The pour is amber in color with a rather large white head.
S: I like the smell on this one. Floral and spicy with quite a lot of yeast. There’s a mild bread note and not much sweetness. Not a super pronounced Brettanomyces character, but there is a bit of leather to it.
T: The flavor isn’t quite as good. Spicy and yeasty, with some light floral notes. The Brettanomyces character is once again subdued in terms of the flavors. Bready malt is about all the sweetness this one has. A light bitterness and maybe just a hint of fruit.
M: The body is somewhat light with a crisp, dry feel and high carbonation.
O: This seems to be a somewhat polarizing beer. I thought it was nice, but others didn’t like it so much. To each his own. bhensonb (15187) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 24, 2011
Bottle from Schultsc. Asked for a local I hadn’t rated, the man came through big time with this one. Pours hazy amber with a foamy/creamy/fizzy off-white head. It’s like pineapple in the barnyard for aroma. Med body. Flavor is fruit of strange types quickly passed oer by an astringent earthiness. It is slightly sweet, mostly dry. Balanced I guess. The barnyard aspect is just excellent. hopscotch (11077) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - AUG 11, 2011
Bottle... Hazy amber ale with a huge, pillowy, white head. The nose is crazy fruity – a mélange of citrus and tropical fruits – pineapple, pear and apricot with only a dab of clove spiciness. Medium-bodied and slick with tingly carbonation. The flavor provides fruity malts and hops. Leans bitter, but not at all overbearing. Crisp, lightly bitter, refreshing finish. Bottle courtesy of richiesd or giarcsr! I can’t remember which.

Golden pour, fluffy head. Aroma of belgian yeast, some spice, funky notes. Flavor is a mix of a golden ale and a light funky saison. Interesting but certainly not amazing. marcus (10221) - Sacramento, California, USA - DEC 20, 2011
Bottle from bhensonb. Pours cloudy golden with a fluffy beige head and a funky barnyard aroma. There is a bitter caramel malt flavor with a dry grassy finish. Not very tasty. GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - NOV 4, 2013
500mL at a tasting. Pours a light golden, hefty Brett carbonation and rocky, hop oil foam. Nose is Brett, Rayon Very style cedar and perfume, mildly chemical/sharp phenolic. Taste is woody cedar, spicy, juicy yellow fruits. Palate is spicy, dry, aerated, refreshing. Balancing hop bite. Good stuff, I’m told it is the prototype for Rayon Vert. onceblind (9626) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 30, 2013
Hazy dark copperish amber with a foamy light beige head. The nose has some light chocolate grains and a slightly herbal Belgian doughy yeast. Flavor is nice and full though on a medium palate. Playful notes of chewy chocolate malts play with a light Belgian pale fruitiness like banana and pear esters, on a doughy off-sweet finish. drowland (8676) - Georgia, USA - JUL 30, 2013
3/28/13. Sampled during CBC 2013. Orange pour with a small khaki head. Citrus, Belgian yeast, light bready malts in the aroma. More citrus in the flavor, lemon and grapefruit, with yeast funk and pale malts. Not bad.
