Fantastic hoppy beer. A benchmark of an american ipa where everything seems to be just in place for the hops to flow freely out your ears. DandyWolfFloyd (1349) - Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 9, 2008
Aroma is very hoppy, with piney and citrusy notes rising up. There is a sense of some other additives with grapefruit and also making an appearance. It’s a orange-copper color, with a thin white head. It’s flavor is powerful, with complex hops ranging from pine to citrus. It has a dash of grapefruit as well. It’s a real nice beer, but a bit too much for session drinking. spikester (606) - Salem, Oregon, USA - JUN 8, 2008
Pours hazy amber, cream color 1" head, lots of lacing. Aroma is very piney, resinous, powerful.
Taste is big grapefruit hop flavor with hard to find malts. If you enjoy lots of hops this is for you. Would have enjoyed some more malt presence. Nephilium (1821) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - JUN 7, 2008
Wonderful piney hop aroma. Pours a clear caramel color with just a dusting of white head. The taste is extraordinary. Great bitterness, with hints of citrus pith and pine. Just a touch of caramel lurking behind the hops. Nice thick mouthfeel. This is one I was really looking forward to trying, and it lived up to expectations. Vas19 (313) - Maryland, USA - JUN 6, 2008
Pours hazy amber with a thick off-white head. Obnoxious hop aroma, citrus and floral. Strong hoppy flavor, lots of pine and a decent amount of bitterness. A balancing malt flavor appears as it warms. I usually dont comment on this but this beer has ridiculous lacing. Good IPA.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a nice airy white head. Filtered-looking, non bottle-conditioned which is disappointing. Aroma is nicely hoppy with immediate citrus apparent. Grassy, slightly pungent, oranges and grapefruit. A very pleasant aroma though intensity is only moderately high for what I assume is a relatively fresh beer. Taste is smooth with some resiny hops in the middle, a smooth but noticeable bitterness and a nice lingering hop finish. Pleasantly dry with little to no residual sweetness. I’ve been interested in trying this beer after it beat out my go-to beer and favorite IPA in the finals of that one contest. While I definitely prefer Two Hearted to this, it is certainly a quality example of the style and one I would purchase often if it weren’t for a hefty price tag in Ohio. malrubius (3125) - Springfield, Vermont, USA - JUN 5, 2008
12 ounce bottle in pint glass. Cloudy copper with flat head and lace. Very aromatic flowery citrusy fresh hop aroma. Mild fruity caramel biscuit with bracing complex citrus hop finish. Medium body and carbo. Slight carbo bite. Excellent strong complex flavors. railcat1 (706) - Kissimmee, Florida, USA - JUN 5, 2008
This is a good example of an IPA with a nice citrus finish and a good blend of hops and floral flavors which left a crisp refreshing finish overall a nice touch to the style.CHEERS! Ansset13 (127) - Wilmington, North Carolina, USA - JUN 5, 2008
The pour is a nice cloudy copper with a small white head. The nose is grapefruit, pine and floral. The flavor has a nice simcoe kiss as well as other hop qualities, and an almost lemony aftertaste. A great and refreshing ale after a long day at the beach. mjs (7815) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUN 3, 2008

(Re-rate, bottle, 0.355 l, at Kaisla, 20120701) The beer poured deep amber and quite clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, resin and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, resin, malts, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty, hoppy and bitter. A tasty US IPA.
(Bottle at Pikkulintu on 2008-05-31) Amber and cloudy. Small bubbly white head. Hops in nose. Full palate that it a bit dry. Some fizziness. Hops, salty liquorice, grass and grapefruit in taste. Rating: 8-3-8-3-15=3.7
