UPDATED: NOV 15, 2011 Bottle, pours slightly hazy and amber with a 2 fingers large, off-white head. good lacing. Hoppy nose with citrus, pine and soft malt. Sweet, hoppy flavour with citrus, grapefruit and pine. Medium bodied. Long bitter finish. Excellent. TPaliga (212) - Munster, Indiana, USA - MAY 2, 2008
Great IPA. Huge hoppy aroma. Nice medium body. Bitter finish. Awesome. I wish I could get it in the midwest. Suttree (6521) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - APR 28, 2008
Seems almost perfect as a session IPA. Lots of citrusy grapefruity hops on the nose, completely dominating everything. Flavor is more hops, on a subtle malt base. Pointless to try to describe, I don’t pick up a lot of sublety. Just a really nice Session IPA. Sampled at Raleigh WBF. Wegro (332) - Fresno, California, USA - APR 27, 2008
UPDATED: JUL 21, 2009 Big piney hop aroma, but not as big as Stone IPA. Looks exactly like an IPA should. Bitter hops in the flavor, all throughout. nice malt presence as it warms up, sort of cookie/doughy. Medium bodied and medium carbo. On the sweet side. Has the hop bite but lacks the fresh leafy hop flavor i was hoping for. Gets astringent. It’s a great IPA but I thought it was missing something to make it really stand out. maybe I’m spoiled by California IPAs like Stone, Torpedo, Union Jack, Racer 5, etc. It was very bitter but it didn’t seem like 95 IBUs. And even though I’m in CA it’s still pretty pricey at $10 a 6 pack. emacgee (4708) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - APR 27, 2008
Pours a nice orange amber with a creamy one finger light orange head. Wonderfully hoppy aroma, sweet citrusy hops, resinous, very fresh, lightly waxy grapefruit peel. Flavor is a little subdued when compared to the aroma. Nice mellow citrusy flavors, lightly waxy, easy bitterness, sweet, grapefruit peel. Nice full mouthfeel, carbonation is very soft and pleasant, finishes a tad warm and more bitter and waxy than initially present in the flavor. Still a great IPA.

The color was golden/orange. The head was creamy, thin, and white. The aroma was simcoe hops, pine, citris, and dark fruit. The flavor was strong hops, citris, waxy/bitter, fruity, and pine. The palate was lively. The finish was hoppy. anders37 (27245) - Malmö, SWEDEN - APR 27, 2008
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Hasa floral hoppy grapefruit aroma. . Sweetish malty and very hoppy grapefruit flavor. Sweetish malty and very bitter hoppy finish with a long bitter aftertaste. JCB (3999) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - APR 26, 2008
UPDATED: JUL 26, 2012 12oz from Sam’s, Durham. So nice to have Green Flash here in NC, first of all. And I’d not had this incredibly enjoyable, robust, and relatively complex IPA before. Wow, it’s like a really fresh SNPA with a more floral hop bouquet. Long dry finish is quite nice, and the mouthfeel is rich and abundant. It’s session-tastic! 12 oz bottle thanks to realale420. This pours a cloudy, dark orangish-brown with a thin white head. Nose ifs of floral and pine hops. Taste is sweet fruit, like peaches. Mouthfeel is medium and oh, wow, so bitter! Incredible bitterness from an IPA. Glad I got to taste some of this. lassem (660) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 26, 2008
hop hop hoppy as hell.... flowers on a big green field in the summertime- bees humming. The nose is like the peel of a grapefruit. The colour is clear amber / orange in the beginning but moisty with yeasts in the end. It has a creamy and oily feeling to it that must be from the big amount of hops. The finish is bitter and dry. Drop a handsign for the westcoast style...hoppy hoppy hoppy.
