(This is the new recipe for West Coast IPA, now an Imperial IPA)

If you are drinking this one in Europe, chances are you should be rating under this entry:

As craft beer pioneers, we embarked on an expedition to brew the benchmark West Coast IPA. We ventured into the unknown and struck gold, discovering a tantalizing menagerie of hops. Simcoe for tropical and grapefruit zest, Columbus for hop pungency, Centennial for pine notes, Citra for citrus zest, and Cascade for floral aroma are layered throughout the brewing process. West Coast IPA exemplifies the Green Flash spirit of adventure and discovery.

Dark amber color, huge nose of pine and dank hops. Super bitter. Definitely a west coast ipa. Delicious.

Aggiebob (1384) - Huntsville, Alabama, USA - DEC 29, 2017
UPDATED: DEC 29, 2017 Draft. It poured a dark gold color with white head and lacing. This IPa has a little of everything. The aroma is happy with floral notes along with Grapefruit, pine, and tropical fruits. The taste is moderately bitter with a little resin note as well. Overall a very good imperial IPA.

ironcontra (494) - ATL, Georgia, USA - DEC 13, 2017
bitter , piney, grapefruit, lemon. oily. didn't really stand out to me but perhaps because there are so many imitators. definitely one to revisit.

Bottle into snifter. Strong aroma of grassy hops. Generous lacing. One finger head. Certainly get the Columbus and Simcoe off the bat. Strong but not overpowering. Smooth finish. Great brew that I can’t believe I’ve missed out on.

deanso (10258) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - NOV 3, 2017
On tap at Annie's guesthouse, Chiang Mai. Thick creamy white head. Very hazy light amber pour. Lovely bitterness. Great 😀

It’s a decent IPA with a slightly piney taste with some floral notes. This IPA is good but is pretty much average. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: OCT 16, 2017 Bottle from Cleveland Park Wine and Spirits, 6-22-17 Why did they change this beer?

Heidbummer (976) - SCOTLAND - OCT 10, 2017
Bottle in San Diego. Pours amber, lacy head. Pine and orange aroma. Taste is crushingly dry, huge hops, some malt in the back. It's just a stunningly good example of how a high West coast ipa should be. Salutes.

teamsale (317) - Washington, USA - OCT 6, 2017
Bomber pours a reasonably clear amber with a two finger off-white head and good lacing. Aroma is sweet malt. Taste is really strong malt, high bitterness. Is very much a sipping brew.

ozzy70 (1333) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - OCT 6, 2017
Sample from bottle at GNBF. Poured medium amber with an off white head. Aroma of grapefruit rind, pine, cat piss. Taste was bitter, grapefruit rind, bitter finish.

Headbanger (4022) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - SEP 13, 2017
12oz bottle 9/13/17 (Ralph's-CA)-44° in Snifter-Pours an orangish amber with a small off white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, and malt. Taste of the same. this medium bodied brew is well balanced and darn right tasty.
