Bronze. Aroma is full of orange zest. Moderately sweet, not overboard on the hopping, but they’re there. Slightly heavy body. Just another west coast IPA. On tap, Mad Mex, Robinson Twp, PA. JohnQPublic (387) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - JUN 26, 2008
Bottle into Sam Adams Boston Lager glass. Pours cloudy gold with definite particulate matter and a big, foamy off-white head that absolutely did not want to go away; appropriately left lacing all the way down the glass. Aroma is big and pure citrus. Taste starts off moderately sweet, but quickly dominated by bright, citrus hop bitterness. Very clean, hops get a bit spicy on the finish, but primarily there’s the big sweet citrus punch, and the resulting bitterness that sets up a homestead on the back of your tongue and starts to raise a family. Mouthfeel is smooth and a bit creamy. Clearly true to its west coast namesake. Well done, even if not my favorite in style. mpersinger (365) - , California, USA - JUN 25, 2008
12 oz. bottle: Golden Peach color, cloudy and with floaties, promising citrus aroma.
Low fat milk mouthfeel, malt presence, and dried apricot tones followed by a wall of crisp, citrus hops, with an appropriate tinge of tire rubber. Hops brighten in finish. alobar (3862) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 25, 2008
Impressive copper color with a tall white head. Lacing that lingers. Aroam of hops-simcoe bitterness and citrus-grapefruit balance. One of the best IPA’s I’ve sampled in a very long time! thill25 (232) - Orlando, Florida, USA - JUN 24, 2008
12 oz bottle. Pours amber with a off-white to light tan head that leaves abundant lacing from the two finger frothy head. The nose id a powerful aroma of pine, citrus, and florals. The flavor is dominated by the hops with some grapefruit, pine, and some sweet caramel. The palate was a bitter hop sack punch It was medium heavy which would make it an "occasional beer" but not a good session beer. That being said, I thought the brew was AWESOME Loved the beer from start to finish...

This is a new favorite IPA for me. Total hop bomb of some of my favorite hops, backed by some nice malt to make a classic IPA. bp (922) - New York, New York, USA - JUN 22, 2008
Bottle: pours a dark amber color with a thin white head, aroma of floral hops, some citrus, taste is hoppy but not overpowering, also has a toasted malt or something flavor which gives it a bit of a burnt taste. Nice IPA. jcr (2719) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - JUN 19, 2008
Bottle. Big hop aroma and big bitter flavor make this a well-crafted and enjoyable IPA. Frothy, off-white head, mostly lasting. Amber, hazy body. The aroma is full of grapefruit, orange juice, orange peel, pineapple and resin. Hints of toasted grain. The flavor is lightly sweet, moderately bitter and moderately acidic. The finish is bitter. Medium to full body with a velvety texture. Lively carbonation. This reminded me of Alpha King, with a sweeter aroma and flavor. Very nicely done. Skeegle (566) - Maryland, USA - JUN 17, 2008
UPDATED: SEP 2, 2008 This was a beautiful IPA that is nearly exactly like Bear Republic’s Racer 5. It literally tastes exactly like it, though I prefer this one for its lack of too much pineyness. This is one very citrussy beer, and that is always always a great thing in my mouth’s book. It pours a cloudy orange with chunks of yeast chunking around and it has so much flavor it draws the mouth water out. Just great, can’t believe I waited so long to try this one out. robforbes (2256) - Bremerton, Washington, USA - JUN 17, 2008
