Cask; Regular.
Golden Best is a new beer for 2012 brewed with Flagon pale ale malt grown and malted in Norfolk. A golden bitter ale with great aroma, crisp bitterness, balanced malt and a hoppy finish. A most refreshing beer!

Cask at the Triangle Tavern, Lowestoft, 21/11/16. Light haze on a golden blonde pour with a decent off white cap. Nose is pale malts, straw, lemon rind, grains, hint of bread. Taste comprises light citric peel, straw, grass, toasted grains, lemon drizzle, touch of herb. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. A rather whelming gold.

Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, nutty, anis seed, licorice hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, malty, anis seed, licorice hops. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130126]

Cask conditioned at The Squirrel, Coventry. Gold with white head. Initially quite thinnish in character but then a light fruity, almost a crisp gooseberry type flavour. Light and dry, the best beer on the day in Coventry, by far.

From cask at Guildford Arms. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is toasted malty and light caramelish. Grassy to herbal. Bitter. Light sweet, toasted malty and mild bitter to dry hoppy into the finish.
