UPDATED: AUG 26, 2017 Strong malty aroma deep amber in colour with good head. Creamy smooth and easy to drink. American new world hops and fruity taste. Pint from Cask in Bloxwich Showman with breakfast

Aroma has cereal bready malts and berry hops. It pours a clear dark amber with a white lace top. Soft carbonation. The taste is medium bitter with the classic twiggy finish on the palace. Overall, a very representative English bitter.

That is not ideal. Not ideal at all. I prefer the fullers. Painful. No more.

Half-pint, cask, 5.5 % abv, at Triangle Tavern. A clear amber body, naked surface, minimal lacing. Fruity caramel nose. Caramel and marmalade to the taste buds. Mid-sweet fruity ending. Satisfying (Lowestoft 08.07.2017).

Cask at the Webb Ellis Twickenham as Green Jack Gone Fishing ESB. Clear matte amber orange, still with a creamy off white head. Aroma is musty carpet and flannel, grains, breadcrusts. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is pretty resinous and gluey, robust astringent British hop character, musty and woody with a supporting malt backbone that doesn’t quite match the hops, ever so slightly buttery. A bitter for seasoned bitter drinkers. A traditional sip and chat beer. (5-4-6-4-14=3.3)

Nice light brown beer enjoyed on a hot summers day. Slightly sharp initial taste that lingers. Good easy drink beer.
