Raspberries; floral hops, sharp sour twang and wild berries. Not particulalr amazing. The raspberries don’t pull it off for me. It is like a fruit beer but a barely wine at the same time. A bit of an odd texture to it. madmitch76 (25101) - , Essex, ENGLAND - NOV 15, 2009
8th July 2008. Barleywine with a clear raspberry tone and a pronounced bitter dry finish/ Okay but a little too bitter. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - FEB 3, 2007
Cask Stillage from the outside cellar at the Prince Of Wales, Foxfield 25/11/2006
White head. Strong raspberry aroma. Amber red coloured and very fruity raspberry flavour. Strong in alcohol with a crisp and bitter lasting malt finish. TheGrandMaster (2335) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - MAY 29, 2006
Half pint gravity fed at the Locks Inn in Geldeston (Norfolk), clear pale copper with a filmy head. Strong citrus aroma hop. Strong raspberry flavour - a bit too strong - and a bitter dry aftertaste. leaparsons (10659) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - APR 6, 2006
Cask, Leicester Fest 06. Deep amber with a bubbly head. Aromas are rasperry with floral notes, light malts and pepper. Flavours are raspberry (surprise) with dry spiciness. Sweet with pear drop sourness. Has herbal and medicinal notes. The alcohol is not too harsh. Bitter on the finish.

Hand pulled at the Bartons Arms, Birmingham. Smells strong and thickly sweet. Raspberry perfume indeed. Tastes initially like a rather tart raspberry flavour, perhaps even a berry marmalade (if such a thing exists). The alcohol then takes hold, making it very liquer-esque. Felt quite heavy to me, and also a little spicy. Not too bad. Jeppe (2631) - Brooklyn, Alabama, USA - MAR 1, 2005

Dark amber colored with no head. Fresh fruity aroma with raspberry hints and malt. Has a nice vinous tone. Strong raspberry flavor with some alcohol present. Fruity and sweet with a sour tone. Little unbalanced but interesting.
Standard copper colour. The raspberry is really noticeable and dominates completely throughout. I’m not sure whether this is made with real raspberries or essence, but it seemed a bit over the top and maybe a touch artificial. Fine for fruit heads, but subtlety isn’t its strong point. Cask (gravity dispense) at Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival 2005.
