3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tasted on 1/17/14 from a capped 12oz bottle purchased at Craft Brewed. Pours a dark brown that lets just a touch of reddish light through and a thick tan head that slowly recedes to rocky lace. The nose is milk and dark chocolate with some roasted coffee, and just a touch of vanilla. The flavor is a little bit more milk chocolate forward with the more bitter dark chocolate and coffee notes taking a back seat and the same nice little touch of vanilla. The body is medium with a creamy texture, average carbonation, and a long finish that brings back the dark chocolate and coffee bitterness balanced by the light vanilla.
Bottle from Harris Teeter, Hampstead, North Carolina. Very dark with a thin head. Sweet and rich with its dark malts with a hint of roasted malt. ordybill (1758) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - MAY 20, 2017
Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a dark brown to black color with a small tan head. The aroma is roasted malt with some chocolate and a bit of coffee. The taste matches the nose. An outstanding porter.

Grabbed in a mix and match 6-pack in SC while visiting Myrtle Beach. They actually have Green Man here in FL now, but hadn’t gotten around to trying them yet. This porter was the one I really was curious about. This is a very good resemblance of the style. Super dark brown, near black appearance. Rich creamy texture. Sweet up front with some bitter chocolate and hops at the end. Decent balance, but leans slightly on the sweet side. Reminds me of one of my favorites, Anchor Porter. Will probably get an entire 6-pack one day in the future. yespr (45443) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - APR 19, 2017

Draft - My palate is not very good but I seem to taste coconut on this Porter. Rich dark brown color with almost no head and very few bubbles. Light roasted flavor, tastes slight sweet as well. A very good representation of the Porter style staying true to the style. HighlanderOne (1330) - York, SC via NJ, South Carolina, USA - DEC 17, 2016

From a 12 oz bottle. Pours a dark brown with a small light tan head that leaves a bit of sticky lacing. Roasty malts, unsweetened chocolate, coffee, caramel, and toast. Surprising bit of a bitter hop resin on the backend. Medium body, smooth texture, lively carbonation. Very flavorful porter here. Well balanced.
