Hazy copper and bronze coloured body with a nice, very fast-dying tan head, only a centimetre tall. Aroma of alcohol, pungent apricots and peaches, a good deal of resinous and floral hops and a smooth, but substantial malt backbone. Medium to Full-bodied; Syrupy, sweet flavour with resin, pine, hops, earth, grain, toffee and a pungent floral flavour dominate at first, with a lot of bitterness from those hops, but also showing some sweetness from all the unfinished sugars. Aftertaste borders between the rich sweetness, the pungent and resinous hops and a good deal of support from the earthy malt. Overall, a balanced and well-hopped Imperial IPA with a proper flavour profile, some nice flavours and that great balance that really makes or breaks beers in this category. Nice to try and very well-executed, especially for an East Coast-based Imperial IPA. Great to try and well worth trying to find and drink fresh-ish if you can find it! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Grape Vine in Fort Mill, South Carolina on 21-August-2017 for US$2,98 after watching the Eclipse with my family, sampled back at home in Washington on 08-December-2017. Bottle shared by a friend. Pours clear amber with a medium white head. Nose of grainy malt and grassy hops. Malty/grainy flavor with a grassy hop finish. Gonna assume it sat on the shelf too long and is usually better. jcos (1855) - Maryland, USA - OCT 21, 2015
Bottle split with Dave. Nice piney aroma, medium bitterness, a bit heavier in the mouthfeel than expected. Scouser (357) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 7, 2015
Pours a hazy golden colour with a nice white lacing and head. Nice rose floral, grapefruit aroma. Tastes of rose hip with a grapefruit citrus finish.....a very nice beer. hamilton23 (619) - Alpine, California, USA - SEP 5, 2015
Purchased at Charleston Beer Exchange during my vacation. Total hop bomb on the nose with some citrus. Taste follows with a well balanced maltiness. Good stuff.

Draft sample at the brewery, clear orangy-amber color with light tan head. Aroma notes of big citrus hops, grapefruity, some tropical, pine with light caramel malt sweetness backing. Taste adds orange/mango, slightly floral hop bitterness with nice malt balance. Medium-heavy body, moderate-low carbonation, dry, creamy with lingering citrus finish. It’s a heavy strong DIPA, very good. nearbeer (5669) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 10, 2015
750 ml. bottled 07/22/2015 and labeled as 9.3% abv (not the 9.9% currently listed). Pour is clear orange-amber with a thin creamy film that endures. Big nose of juicy grapefruit, orange, caramel and evergreen resin. Front taste begins smoothly with the same but finishes a bit rougher with toast, bitter green herb and mint. Medium-heavy body has smooth medium carbonation and a definite dry bias but not so bad for 158 IBU!
