COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Robust and warming, this stout has hints of coffee and dark chocolate. A complex variety of roasted malts, and moderate hopping temper the pleasant sweetness of this brew. This special batch lurked in our cellar until our brewers felt it was worthy of its name.

On tap at the brewery. Dark brown/black pour with a brown head. Dark roasted malt aromas. Smooth and creamy with loads of dark roasted malts. Toffee, caramel, and chocolate low lights. Good body and mouthfeel.

Bottle to glass. Pours a thick syrupy malty brown ale with a molasses character, very prominent in the flavor. Thick, syrupy, delicious. Very tasty.

UPDATED: NOV 3, 2015 Green Man Imperial Stout from a large shared bottle on two occasions. Flavor: Very good but not great with a very good aftertaste. Rich, with mainly dark roasted malt.Lacks complexity but not intensity. Good balance. Appearance: Essentially black body+ opaque with a weak head. Feel: Very full and thick body. Light but good carbonation level.

750 ml bottle shared by drsordr in July ’13. Pours a dark brown to black color with a small tan head. The aroma and flavor has roasted malts, dark chocolate, tobacco, light coffee and earthy bitterness. Medium bodied for an imperial stout. Decent, but I would like to try on draft at the source.

750ml from Peabody’s Wine & Beer in Boone, NC. A nice stout scent with malt, chocolate with some hop dryness. Pours very dark brown with a very slight foam and alittle lacing. A very nice stout with a hop burn with the malts and chocolate but without the super sweet of some stouts which is nice. The palate has malts, semi sweet chocolate and a tinge of alcohol. Overall a very nice stout and would buy this again.
