Bottle... Pours charcoal-black with a small, fleeting, cappachino head. The nose is a pleasant arrangement of caramel, red wine, dark tropical honeys, a modest measure of coconut and fresh, warm perspiration. The flavor is a little rough around the edges, but nice overall. Dark rum warmth in finish. Maybe more time in the bottle... bytemesis (8969) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JAN 17, 2015

2014 RBWG Grand Tasting.
Clear dark brown with no head.
The flavor is mildly sweet, though not very complex or developed. rdixon77 (2944) - Georgia, USA - JUN 3, 2014
Thanks to drowland for the share! Nice light imperial barrel aged. Dark brown pour with slight khaki head. Rum, candy sugar, chocolate on the nose. Taste is surprising light with the rum sweet booziness present but not overpowering. More chocolate and nuts in the taste. Full bodied, but not too sticky. Good stuff. 750ml bottle with a cool snazzy label .. . the rum is very subdued, with mild coco and tar .. . a rather dainty mouth for an imperial stout and a abrupt finish .. . solid but was hoping for more .. . . if I ever saw bat shit, i’d be like, ‘that’s crazy.’

Bottle generously shared at the RBWG grand tasting. Dark brown pour. Heavy dark chocolate notes with a pleasant alcohol warmth. Sweet sugar cane and booze goes a tad overboard in the finish. jbruner (5121) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - FEB 11, 2014
Bottle shared at RBWG grand tasting! Pours a thick black with minimal head or lacing. Definitely a big barrel aged stout, chocolate and booze on the nose and taste. Solid beer but somewhat unimpressive for a Bartel aged stout.
