Draft at the brewery. Pours a hazy reddish color with medium head. Excellent lacing. Aroma is slight caramel and toast with some citrus and tropical notes. Taste is initially sweet, then the hop flavor and bitterness come through, lightly tropical but slightly muted, finishes with a touch of roasted malt. Overall ok, but would prefer more American hops and a touch less roast in the finish. Also a touch of alcohol noted. drowland (8629) - Georgia, USA - SEP 30, 2012
9/30/12. On tap at Dahlia’s Pour House. Light red pour with a solid dark khaki head that sticks... I was a bit surprised at how light the color was. This seems to be the trend throughout. The aroma is surprisingly light as well, with a touch of dank hops and some caramel and chocolate. The flavor is much the same - a touch of hop bitterness, a bit of citrus and dank hops, and hints of caramel - all surprisingly laid back. Not bad.
