UPDATED: NOV 21, 2012 On draft in a shaker pint. Red/brown opaque with quick dissipating small khaki head, no lacing. Slight cinnamon and maple nose. Roasty, nutty front, slight brown sugar sweetness, bitter nut skin. Tannic puckering at the end, dry/light body. Drinks a lot better as it warms up, hints of sweet potato start to come through, still not all that great.
On draft at Dahlia’s, poured a deep brown color, with aromas of caramel, light coco, light brown sugar and some sour notes. Flavors are, well interesting, I do not get any sweet patato, I mention that it was sour and the bar tender said, that is the sweet patato. I have had a few sweet patato beers before, and none were sour. This was not what I was expecting at all,

11/20/12. On tap at Dahlia’s. Light brown pour with a very small khaki head that cuts to a ring and barely laces. Mainly spice on the aroma - nutmeg et. al - with touches of caramel. Lightly bitter brown ale flavors with a touch of chocolate and coffee on top of more spices. Very light and not a ton of tater, vanilla, or other flavors I was hoping for.
