No sniff but great looking and great body...really nice flavor for the ABV and easy drinking for a Barley.

Niall73 (2434) - Ontario, CANADA - JAN 2, 2016
Tap from brewery. Pours pale gold, odd for a barley wine. Not much happening aroma wise. Messy. Some metal, lemon, pine... Dry, again odd but not unpleasant. Strange brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Pours yellow white head. Nose/taste of orange blossom, aspirin, light plastic, honey water, hops. Lighter bodied. Odd.

Ferris (16093) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 24, 2015
Draft - Sweet light orange and pale malt. Clearish light gold with a decent white head. Rich pale malts and some orange. I don’t get it.

djd07 (15293) - Houston, Texas, USA - FEB 18, 2015
On tap at Green Room during RBWG. Pours cloudy gold with small white head. The aroma is faint wheat and plastic . Thick mouth with sweet fruit and tylenol flavor.

decaturstevo (6339) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - JAN 3, 2015
Gold pour with creamy white head. A lot of malt and citrus on the nose. Very sweet maltiness and citrus zest and pretty hard citrus bitter. Medium full bodied. Lacking dried fruitiness but still an ok bw

Homer321 (5143) - Melboring, Florida, USA - MAY 25, 2014
Nose is slightly earthy with a sweet honey note. Pours a clear yellow with small white head. Taste is initially overpowering with sweetness and alcohol. Slightly fusel like. Lots of warming in the ears. Balanced for boost and lacks malt presence I would expect forms barley wine.

chinchill (5163) - South Carolina, USA - MAR 15, 2014
Orange blossom Floridian Barleywine 9% ABV listed at the brewpub. This had the look and ABV of a barleywine but not the flavor or aroma. Certainly not bad and rather easy to drink, but lacks depth and boldness. Think imperial marzen. Medium body and carbonation.

PorterPounder (8176) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - FEB 15, 2014
Tallahassee, FL - on tap at Proof. Medium gold pour, thin white head. Aroma is sweet with hints of dates and molasses. Flavor is initially slightly phenolic but settles as it warms. Light hints of dates, raisins with some butterscotch i notes. Same kind of plastic flavor that the Count Chhakula has. Mouthfeel is thick enough. Decent, but not a BW for the ages.

thebsmitty (138) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JAN 29, 2014
Draft. Pours light golden color with no head or lacing. Smell is typical, artificial orange flavoring. Taste is light honey, almost mead like, floral. So so beer, but barleywine?

jcwattsrugger (12507) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JAN 3, 2014
