3.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured orange with an off white head. No hop aroma. Nice clean finish. A decent pale ale.
From Dec 2006
Poured from 12oz bottle a medium gold with a large head of foam
that hung around for the entire session as a thick layer with some lacing.
The smell is a mix of sweet malt and hop bitterness but it's on the light side.
The taste is the same as the nose but the hop bittering is a little more pronounced than what the malt is offering. There's some citrus there and it's definitely on the bitter side but it's not hitting my palate in a way that I'd like and, there's finally some semi sweet malt hitting my taste buds after a few more sips. This one's kind of a strange tasting Pale Ale overall...I wonder if it's because it's organic?
Bottom line: An interesting interpretation of the style but one I'll probably not revisit. oldrtybastrd (5228) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - MAY 12, 2016
Pours a nice golden yellow color. Aromas of malts, hops, and a touch of pine. Flavor has a nice crisp taste with a clean dry finish. slowrunner77 (12844) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 7, 2014
"an almost ok beer, but definitely nothing worth seeking out. the hop profile is nice, but a little weak. dry finish, and a watered down maltiness. don’t know about consistency (sometimes an issue w/organics)...i’ve only had 1."

Unappealing color. Strange almost medicinal flavor. This beer is drinkable but not interesting; Surprisingly flat.

Bottle to glass. Dumpy brown color, no head, not much mouth interest, tastes like marinade. I won't be buying this one again.

Decent offering from AB, but nothing special. Clean finish, some hints of barley and bread in the finish. Not much malt flavor as stated in the description but not too bad doubelknv3 (1093) - Illinois, USA - SEP 29, 2012
Earthy, malt and rustic aroma. Copper with white head. Earthy, malt sweet, mild hop balance. Refreshing. Tongue tingler.

Tasted on tap at Grant’s Farm in tumbler. Clear, light golden color with creamy white foam. Nice hops aroma. I did some research, and sure, it’s made by Anheuser Busch. So what? I think it’s great they’re brewing with 100% certified organic barley (which means all-malt, as opposed to most of their beers), 100% certified organic hops (which is an important distinction--many "organic" brewers cheat on this, arguing that hops are an insignificant percentage of the recipe,) and 100% recycled glass, paper, and cardboard for the packaging. Plus it tastes pretty good for a macro light lager as well. I bet AB would have done better to really OWN this concept, marketing it as a Green Budweiser, for instance. thornecb (6062) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 14, 2011
Pours deep amber into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Butterscotch aromas. Sweet caramel and bread from front to back. Mild banana and resin finish. SuperDave (2555) - Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA - JAN 13, 2011
Clear amber pour with a fizzy head. Light malt and hop aroma. Flavor is the same. Not much to say about this.
