COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Devil Anse Hatfield led his family in the notorious and bloody feud with the McCoys during the late 1800s along the Kentucky-West Virginia border. Nicknamed Devil Anse, it was said that he was so strong and fierce he could take on the devil himself. No feuding is necessary when you enjoy the balanced bitterness of hops and tropical fruit characteristics in this satisfying IPA.

lamas (1655) - Washington DC, USA - OCT 22, 2017
Draft at Iron Horse Tavern, Morgantown, WV on 10/20/17. Served up a hazy amber color with a thick beige head. The pleasant aroma featured lots of pine, zesty citrus rinds, grapefruits, and caramel. Went down fairly thin-bodied. The flavor profile was pretty standard - plenty of caramel was evident upfront in the taste with loads of zesty citrus rinds and grapefruits at the end. This was nicely balanced and tasty.

Draft at Food ans Friends in Lewisburg, WV The ale poured a cloudy amber with a foamy off white head and lacing. The aroma of floral hops and citrus are quickly detected. The taste was more complex with juicy flavors including orange, melon, and a nice pale malt backbone. The medium body ale has average carbonation. This is a nicely balanced IPA with a clean finish. This brewery is just North of Lewisburg near the Greenbrier Valley Airport.
