A Belgian Strong Ale with a little something extra. 1825… is that a year or a beer? An address or the number of nights you don’t remember from your youth? In any case, our 1825 Belgian Strong Ale defies definition with it’s golden ale roots and it’s slightly extra punch.

Pours light orange with champagne carb and a nice white head. The aroma is spicy yeast, musty, and bready. The taste is spicy and malty with just a hint of sweetness. Not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is a 9.3% Belgian Style Golden Ale from Michigan that’s a nice looking opaque orange-amber with a thick light beige head of foam. The aroma is bready, honey, apricot and peaches - tasty. Full bodied with a raspy mouthfeel. The taste is thick malty sweet with toffee, bread pudding, caramel, apricot. It reminds me a bit of a barleywine or old ale. Really rich and a good beer for a cool fall evening.

Aroma is bread, roasted sugars, toffee, a touch of caramel and a slight bit of orange. Color is a light to mid amber, just a bit toward the orange end of the spectrum. Head is averaged sized and off white. Taste is the sweetness of candied sugar; bitterness is quite mild. Body is light to medium; texture a bit sticky; carbonation average and the finish medium starting with the orange bitterness and ending with the candy sugar. Overall not bad; I like the mix of orange bitterness and sweet breads malt, though the sweetness is a bit too much for my taste. Not tremendously complex but somewhat interesting.

Murky amber/cider color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of sweet malt, yeast, floral/fruit, & some spice; Flavor sweet malt, yeast, caramel/toffee, fruit, and spice; Warm finish; Decent.

A nice balance of sour, Belgian, and fruits. A well-made beer straight through. Not extreme enough for a best-ever rating but a guarantee. On tap in Douglas, MI. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Little head and lacing. Orange red color. Belgium wheat aroma. Little carbonation. Sweeter fruity taste but very solid strong ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz Bottle. Pours hazy copper color with light, beige head. Aroma is Belgian yeast, banana, clove. Taste is malty sweet, dark fruits, typical Belgian Strong but with a slight hop bitterness. Palate is medium-bodied, very smooth, soft finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Coppery-orange, cloudy pour with thin white head. Aroma is fruity, cloves, and bologna. Flavor is smooth, with Belgian sugar and yeast. Fruity, with a somewhat bubbly mouthfeel. This is very smooth, indeed. I was sucking it down like Coca-Cola. Pretty impressive for a 9.3 abv brew. This is prob my fave from this brewer.

Campy877 (189) - Michigan, USA - DEC 12, 2014
Bottle. Hazy copper yellow color with a thin white head with heavy lacing. Aroma is sweet honey and spice. Has a nice full bodied flavor of sweet fruit, honey and spices with a potent alcohol overtone. Very nice take on a Belgian Trippel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From bottle. Caramel, toffee, fruity with alcohol. Rich and musky. Deep amber-orange clear with thin lacing head. Medium-heavy body with medium carbonation. Starts and stays sweet with alcohol and caramel. Belgian Dubbel quality, smooth sweet finish with dark fruits, moderate bitter finish with lingering sweet after and bitter undertones.
