Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours dark brown with a foamy tan head. Aroma is chocolate/pine/citrus. Med body. Flavor is chocolate pine. Finishes that way. Tasty. Tmoney99 (14372) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 30, 2012
Draft sample. Poured black color with an average frothy light brown head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate toasted chocolate malt and complex hop aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Moderate to heavy toasted bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium duration. Very good brew.

Dark and thick-looking black pour with a billowing tan head. The smell is intruiging, it is liek a chocolate cherry pie, there are also elements of roast, pine, and citrus. Not hoppy in the smell but wow what a nice malt scent. The flavor brings the hops. The nice thing is they arent overly furity or citrusy they provide backing support but don’t clash with the malt. It leaves the beer a dry, bitter, cocoaey type ipa. Not super sweet, very nice. Sammy (12099) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 7, 2013
Excellent black IPa, from Champane’s. Black bodied, smooth, juicy more than roasty. A gem worth seeking out.

On tsp at the Haymarket Greenbush event. Pours near black with a brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has a decent amount of dank pine hops with some underlying roasted malts. Flavor has pine up front with some growing roasted malts and dark grains. shrubber85 (11324) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - OCT 10, 2011
