A haughty black ipa with a bit of pent-up attitude for those "special" days. Our addicting little black IPA using Belgian dark malts and dry-hopped for intense aroma. 7.6% ABV and 85 IBU’s. Release some bottled-up Anger and learn to enjoy life a little.

Taster at Standard Market, and I’m finally popping the cap on my first Greenbush beer, too. Oh, yes, Amarillo right up the nose on the first sniff. This would indeed be a beer to inspire anger. Black with some brown highlight, and a persistent stoutlike-head. Taste is hit up hard by catbox Amarillo and Simcoe, which overrides much of the malt profile. Still, I get some spiciness from wheat more than any roastiness. A very light mouthfeel makes up for the rough palate, light carbonation makes it feel almost like there was some nitro involved (which there wasn’t). Alcohol starts to kick in after the second ounce, so be careful not to swig this.

On tap. Poured a dark brown, near black with a small sized off white head. Pine, roast, and chocolate.

Brown color with a dark scarlet to purple hint and a tall tan head. Full scented, with yeasties, fruit, spice, cocoa, roasted and black malts. An IPA sitting on a burning pine tree seem to sum this one up for me. Seems to thin out in the finish. Still an interesting BIPA. One of the few bottles I wanted to finish during this night of tasting. 5/13

One of our favorite Black IPA’s. Hops, chocolate and richness. Review at - A Brew With You, Ep.12

Bottled. Wow that is an IPA that gets you. The beer is aggressively hopped, aggressively bitter, and biting. After taste is pleasant. One to savor slowly.

bottle @ Keg Liquors / Clarksville IN --- Opaque black, brown head that slowly drops from 4" to a heavy cover, curtains of lace. Taste is roasted malt, light smoke, floral hops, medium fizz, and a long hard smoked hop finish. A full-bodied brew that becomes more hop-harsh as it moves through a finish that finally is all smoke. Really well done, but not for me.

12 Oz bottle. Pours black with a huge light brown head that lingers leaving huge lacing. Aroma is fantastic; smokey, dank, floral hops. Flavor is medium sweet going immediately to lots of piney hops, finishing with ample piney and and citrusy hops with a bit of roast. Fill body with a creamy mouthfeel and average carbonation. Overall, love the aroma, flavor kind of doesn’t live up to it. Still, delicious.

Sampled at an esbls. Quite dark. Some black licorice and some chocolate notes. Grapefruit bitterness and pine. Nice.

12 oz bottle. Bottled Jul/11/16. (Siciliano's) Grand Rapids, MI. Dark reddish brown color with a small tan head. Mild sweetish licorice, mild toasted malt, mild hops and some dryness in the aroma. The flavor is lactic sweetness, licorice, roasted malt, hops, mild bitterness and some medical notes. Pretty decent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Little head and lacing. Rich black color. Hoppy aroma. Smooth drinking with light carbonation. Mild hoppy finish. Very good IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Impressive! Beautiful pour...black as coal with a dark tan head that lingers and laces through the entire glass. I could tell from the aroma that I was in for a surprise. I will be drinking more of this. The flavor is excellent.
