2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: MAR 6, 2014 Bottle: Far too volatile on the pour, one inch of beer and five inches of head... Even with a slow pour! The foam lasts forever, too, & while it leaves good lacing, it takes 15 minutes before I can drink the damn thing. The liquid has a deep amber, cloudy copper body, darker than expected. Aroma of heavy hops; pine, zesty, floral, and lightly soapy. Faint juicy oranges and bready malt backbone. Taste is quite spicy, lots of white pepper, earthy, dirty, herbal hoppage. Brash bitterness and a heavy toasted and caramel malt sweetness that helps balance. Bitter finish, thicker than expected body with lively carbonation. Not as "drinkable" as I’d like a pale ale to be. Not awful but more of a "miss" than a "hit", that’s for sure.
On tap at Greenbush. Pours golden with a nice white head and a faint citrus aroma. There is a hearty pale malt flavor with a dry moderately bitter finish. markducommun (1212) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 18, 2016
Lightly cloudy golden, moderate tan head. Malty, orange citrus. Pine resin. Strongly bitter, strong malt back. Medium body, slightly oily, chewy. Long finish. Not super balanced. Decent. Patrickctenchi (6692) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - MAR 26, 2016
Light, clear copper with a thin white head.
Toasty caramel, orange, slightly oxidized scent.
Orange and caramel malts,...fruit taste.
A floral bitter and spiciness towards the finish.
Pretty good.......even as a shared and past date bottle.
And.....I forgot it was in the fridge for a month....
I’d like to find a fresh one someday. Weevo (176) - Indiana, USA - JAN 11, 2016

12 oz. bottle (X3) from MI craft beer sampler 12 pack, served in a shaker- poured a transparent copper brown color, lively medium carbonation, 1 finger foamy head formed and lasted for a quite a few minutes. Aroma of hops, caramel, and malt. Hits the mouth with a light medium body, malt is awashed in caramel, very light hop wave in the middle, followed by a lightly acidic finish. OK.

Bottle. Earthy grass and orange malt aroma. Golden yellow with large off-white head. Sweet orange malt and earthy grapefruit peel flavor. Decent body. Okay - apparently my bottle wasn’t too fresh. zach8270 (4021) - Henrietta, New York, USA - NOV 5, 2015
(bottle - 12 oz) Clear orange pour with a thin white head. Floral and peppery hop aroma with some sweetness. Flavor is very floral and slightly sweet. Very smooth without a cloying bitter aftertaste. [9/11/15] jaymobrown (1845) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 9, 2015
Nice medium style hop beer that isn’t overwhelmed with hops. Good selectoon if you’re looking for a hoppy but not too much beer. dwm1034 (785) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 24, 2015
Bottle from brewery via my good wife. Pours a rich reddish color with moderate head. Nose is mild hops with a smooth, rich initial taste. Tasty. thedm (6309) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - JUL 23, 2015
This draft brew from a beer festival poured a head of foamy white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a very softly carbonated transparent yellow orange colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The nice aroma was musty and malt hop. The sharp crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish with a bitter hoppy aftertaste. The strong flavor contained notes of bitter mildly vinous and hops. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.
