Aroma of roasted coffee and chocolate. Black in color with a little tan head with nice little lacing.Taste like a coffee Porter and a chocolate Stout? No alcohol present on the taste. A very tasty stouter (aka Stout/Porter) bunker (10) - Michigan, USA - MAR 30, 2014

It is black, no transparency at all (it’s beautiful). Pours a small, creamy, dark brown head. Doesn’t hold long but leaves very nice heavy lacing. on the nose you get black coffee, bitter, smoked wood, and a hint of soy. on the tongue you get cereal, coffee, roasted nuts and a pretty strong bitterness (which I like). More like a stout than a porter to me. any way AWSOME beer, this is what beer should taste like. GET ONE, NO GET 6 AND DRINK’EM. A gift at $8-$10 a six pack. hopsythe (46) - - APR 23, 2014
Bottle pour. Aromas and appearance of a stout. Tastes of caramel chocolate coffee and roasted malt. Label makes sense with the stout-ish porter.

On tap at Blackthorn Pub in Holly Michigan. Dark beer with a shall dark head and a light roasty aroma. Rich chocolate flavor with roasted bits lingering on the tongue. MrBunn (2826) - The Wet Side of a Dry Town, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 25, 2013
Bottle. Pours a deep brown with a thin tan head and aromas of heavily roasted malt (coffee and dark chocolate and peat and the whole bag) with a little vanilla and cream. Flavor is VERY nicely done. A nice and creamy mouthfeel with a jagged peat and burnt malt highlight. Interesting and nicely executed. jgb9348 (6281) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - FEB 28, 2014
Deep dark brown coloured body with a ridiculously rich three centimetre brown head. Aroma of alcohol, pit fruits, coffee, prunes, oatmeal and a bunch of nuts - nice and strong. Medium to Full-bodied; Very rich roasted malt flavour with a lot of coffee and nuts noticeable, some anise and licorice tastes and a good nutty sweetness on the end. Aftertaste shows hints of vanilla, oak, oatmeal, prunes, caramel and even a bit of fennel seed. Overall, a very nice pungent stout (this doesn’t seem much of a porter to me, unless it’s a Baltic, but even then) with a large profile and even nicer palate. Great to sample and well worth finding if possible! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan on 02-August-2013 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 28-February-2014.
