As far as IPA’s go, this is middle of the road. I am a huge fan of IPA’s, and this is one is pretty good. You get your nice blend of hops and it has a nice finish, but it ultimately lacks complexity or bold flavor. Just a good drinkable IPA.

Bottle. Cloudy orange with short frothy white head. Smells of citrus, resin, and tea. Medium body and carbonation. Taste is grapefruit, lemon, pine resin, and tea. Not bad, but too resinous for me.

Clear medium copper color. Taste is soapy pine resin hops, a bit of citrus but just not quite enough malt sweetness to balance. It’s decent once you let it warm, but straight from the fridge it’s so-so.

Aroma is citrus/fruit, malts and a hint of spices. The flavor is citrus/fruit, biscuit/earthy malts, hops/hop resin and a bitter/slightly coarse finish.

12oz botte from Flicks in Lambertville, MI: murky copper-orange pour with a solid fluffy white head. aroma of pine, orange, spice. tastes are hay, spice, pine, citrus, earthy. even enough, kind of strange.

Light amber with a taller off-white head. Aromas of grass, resin and citrus peel. Mild caramel malt with plenty of earthy and perfumy hops. Just a bit too much resin for my liking.

Deep orange. Nose of floral and orange citrus hops, light pine, sweet caramel. Taste follows, with some barley wine like elements...suprising given the ABV and that this is a fresh bottle hops are there but overall quite sweet and malty ’midwest’ IPA.

Glad to see the superfluous umlaut used here. I find it comforting. This is an alright IPA too. It’s cloudy orange w/ a long lasting, foamy white head. This stuff has a pretty nice hoppy nose to it but it’s a bit oversweet and a chalky mineral note seems to emphasize and unpleasant grassy character. It finishes w/ some iced tea astringent notes, some simple sweetness and sticky, resinous bitterness. This stuff isn’t a total waste but a mediocre IPA is one I will never buy again.

Clear orange, light tan head. Light citrus, bit of honey malt. Moderately bitter, lighter sweetness with a decent light biscuity backbone. Medium finish, fairly effervescent. Pretty good.
