[Tap] Darker shade of amber. Aroma of toasted grains and hints of nutmeg. Heavy caramel taste. Sweet finish. Not getting much spice in here. OK I guess, but not a ton happening here. Tasting notes from 1/2014.

Bottle- gusher. Hazy to cloudy amber with an overly large head, excessive carbonation. Sour toasty malt aroma --- Im anticipating infection before my first taste. Yup, sour infected toasty malt flavor. Light, overly carbonated body.

Draft. The color is a nice amber. The aroma is strong spiced malt. The taste is spot on for an Oktoberfest. Easy to drink and roasted malt flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle:   Deep caramel, moderate frothy light beige head, somewhat decent lacing.   Nose is of a grainy/malty aspect, touch of sourness.   On the tongue its malty, bready, a bit husky, some sour aspect that I dont think is intended.   A Fall seasonal that is already broken?   The sourness shouldnt be there.   A bit of a candyish sweetness, pixie stix but without the dry aspect.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finishes bready, nutty, a touch sour, and not like what any Amber Ale or Oktoberfest should be.   Blech....

12 oz. bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours a slightly hazy amber brown with a small off white head. The aroma had caramel and buttery toffee, light herbs, grass with a hint of toasted bread. The flavor had caramel malts, light toast, light herbs with a smooth character.

12oz bottle shared by Tmoney99. Mildly hazy caramel / brown color. Thin khaki head, decent lace. Smooth, creamy texture. Lighter carbonation, medium body. Interesting aroma - light spice, apple pie, chocolate. Very unusual oktoberfest, much more rich and full-bodied. Light sweet taste, little bitter, spice. Interesting, definitely stands out

Bottle to snifter (thanks tmoney99). Looks solid; a murky copperish with thin off-white lacing. Smells like Worthers candies. Tastes decent, but not as inviting as it smells. Average on the palate. Meh.

On tap at Greenbush Brewpub. Murky brown with an off-white head, amber lowlights and mild lacing. Aroma of toffee, malt, grains and mild maple. Taste of toffee, roasted malt, dark fruits and mild tannins.

Draft at brewpub. Poured hazy brown color with an average fizzy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate aroma of toasted sweet malt. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Well balanced toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This beer exceeded my expectations.

Easily the worst from this brewery. An oktoberfest has to be a lager, and as an ale this one isnt that great. Watery, light hop flavor, malty, crappy for the most part.
