Tap at the Brentwood Tavern, New Buffalo - 03/11/12.
Cloudy orange in appearance with a decent head.
Nose of banana, toffee and clove.
Tastes of banoffee pie, little spice, toffee and a touch of peach.
Medium bodied with light spritzy carbonation.
One of the better US brewed German representations I’ve had.

Atually a pretty good take on the style. Wasn’t expeting much. It is a bit too filtered but it the banana and clove notes are there. The flavor rolls across the tongue at times though.

Pours cloudy golden, decent off white head. Nose is pungent, banana, clove, coriander, wheat. Solid wheat and mild citrus bitterness on the tongue. Solid hefeweizen for a hot summer day. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Water, wheat, cloves, and banana. This combination is usually a winner, but there is something off about this beer in their combination. Drinkable, but I wouldn’t get another. Tried with Dave and Breanna at the Hopleaf in Chicago, Aug. 2012.

ICEatALAMO (1355) - Troy, Michigan, USA - JUN 14, 2012
Draft. Pours actually a golden hazy color, seemed nice and vibrant for a wheat. Full aroma that hits the senses. A quality wheat beer that is very drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Half pint at the brewery. What an excellent hefeweizen. This is mellow, not sticky with balanced notes of fruit and cloves. There are hints at banana, wheat crackers and mild spices. This is a great on a hot day. The finish has a dash of tartness. Honestly one of the best hefes I’ve had in a while.

Draft sample. Poured hazy copper color with an average white fizzy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate citrus, yeast and clove aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Good drinkable brew that met my expectations.

On tap at Bangers and Lace. Pours a cloudy orange gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of earthy wheat with a bit of grapefruit and earthy citrus. Flavor has a bit more sweet citrus upfront with earthy grapefruit and wheat in the finish.
