TimE (6000) - Tokyo, JAPAN - APR 18, 2015
chestnut color with off white head. Wood, molasses, dark cherries, treacles, burnt raisins and brown sugar in the nose. The body is very full, moderately sweet, and for 12% the alcohol is really well hidden. Malty body, smooth with milk chocolate and molasses and dark cherries showing up. Lingering burnt raisins, molasses and brown sugar in te finish. Excellent.

BeerBoom (276) - POLAND - MAY 17, 2014

Rune (13196) - Tromsø, NORWAY - SEP 20, 2013
Cask, kindly shared by yespr, GBBF 2013. Cloudy red-orange coloured body. Sweet apricot and malts on the nose. Mid-sweet, marmalade taste, lots of dried fruits mixed with earthy malts and warming alcohol. Heavy, likable, stuff (London Olympia 14.08.2013).

Theydon_Bois (20215) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - SEP 12, 2013
Cask at GBBF ’13, 15/08/13. Hazed mahogony brown with a light tan head which thins to a ring around the perimiter of the vessel. Nose is rich in dark fruits, raisens, prunes, earthy, brown sugars. Taste comprises a dark fruit medley, Christmas cake, leather, earth, wood, booze but not a double digit kick, muscavado sugar. Full bodied, fine carbonation, warming alcohol in the finish. Decent drop - the 12% is very well integrated.

yespr (46790) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - AUG 31, 2013
From cask. Pours hazy deep amber with a small off white head. Aroma is dense malty, caramelish and alcohol. Thick malty, overripe fruity and toasted caramelish. Alcohol warmth. Dark malty, roasted and dry warming finish.

The_Osprey (8515) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 15, 2013
GBBF. Clear dark brown with a few bubbles on top (nothing you could really call a ’head’). Smell - old ale, red wine, toned down sherry. Body is medium to light, and so is the carbonation. Taste - sherry and vinegar to start, molasses, onion gravy. Syrupy, slight sharpness, alcohol is noticeable but to be fair at 12% it’s not THAT noticeable. Maybe a bit of merlot or grape juice. Overall, there are pleasant and unpleasant aspects to the taste but it’s quite sickly and sharp which knocks the score down a bit.

sfhodense (4788) - Odense NØ, DENMARK - MAY 17, 2013
Pours ruby copper with a small beige head. Aroma is caramel, alcohol and dried dark fruit. Flavour is caramel vineous alcohol, dried dark fruit, almost like portwine.
