Cask at the Royal Standard, Ely. Dark gold/copper. Extremely thin white head and lacing. Clear. Flowery/fruity aroma, not very enticing. There is a slight metallic scent as well. Taste improves a bit, sweet with caramel and orange notes. Very basic and not the best beer in the world, but itll do.

On tap at Turf Tavern in Oxford. Labeled as Westgate Ale Fresco. Fruity and flowery with a light citrus. Similar taste. Slightly sweet. Could have used more hops to balance the sweetness.

fairwater (146) - Reading, Berkshire, ENGLAND - MAY 23, 2013
Cask @ Warwick Arms. Mid gold, theres a definite Greene-kingyness about it, either lemongrass or dishwashing detergent, havent quite decided. Drinkable. Just.

berkshirejohn (6244) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - MAY 17, 2013
Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Pale chestnut with a tight cream head; citrus aroma; creamy in the mouth with some light citrus and stale malts; and a dry biscuity finish with not a hop in sight. Under whelming.

Jonb5 (520) - Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 16, 2013
Pint, from the cask. A: Bronze, copper, clear, small taned head, some retention. S: Floral, had to think of Saaz hops. T: Phenol, berries on the turn, finish slightly bitter and wheaty. Like some other Greene King beers it reminded me of a Belgian Pale Ale. M: Smooth, light body. O: Lots of depth for a bitter, very decent.
