Cask. The Lansdowne, Leicester. Thin white head, gold body. Fruit, yeast. Bitter. Dry finish.

Cask @ Montagu Pyke, JDW. Pours a clear golden amber, with a small off white head. Dominated by mandarin, orange, peach, toffee, caramel, lemon and a slightly floral kick in the aroma. Quite nice.

DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - JUN 5, 2011
Cask Handpump at the Brunswick Hotel, Crewe 29/05/2011 Fruity aroma. Golden coloured fruity and a little pale with a hint of bitterness in a dry malt finish.

Leighton (22812) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 27, 2011
Cask at the Harp. Clear, rich gold with a white foam head. Citrus, floral, light soap nose. Light sweet flavor, lots of citrus fruitiness, some dough and yeast. light to medium in body with average carbonation. Slight dry, toast and citrus finish. Good stuff.

sm89walt (2082) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAY 24, 2011
Cask - The Glass House (JDW), Norwich. Small & creamy, lasting white head atop an amber body. OK fruit, caramel-forward profile. A slight toasty and generic hop bitterness on the tongue with a notable house yeast component. Some empty metallic touches too on the palate. Quite hollow & missing character, particularly on the mid palate.

maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - MAY 22, 2011
Cask conditioned handpump Rose & Crown Yardley Hastings. A pleasant citrussy beer with more fruity notes in the nose than the mouth. Never really develops into much of a beer but has pleasant notes and is acceptably drinkable.

Bullit (4803) - Buffalo, New York, USA - MAY 10, 2011
Cask @ Counting House, JDW. Clear golden colour, off-white head. Aroma is light malty, a bit non-descript. Flavour is light malted, biscuit, slight hint of vegetables. Soft cookie dough. Slight bitter finish.

POLK (2219) - Hørning, DENMARK - FEB 20, 2011
Warning old amatur rating: Golden colour. Nice English hop aroma and taste. Some good shapness towards the end.

bobinlondon (1297) - Harrow, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 21, 2008
UPDATED: JUN 24, 2008 Handpulled cask at the Speckled Hen, St. Albans. Gold with creamy white head. Nice fruity, citrussy flavour with a subble hoppy finish. One of GKs better offerings. Score 3.2. RE-RATE: I’ve just tried this beer again at JDW Stanmore. A fresh barrel tasted better with improved hop chacture and conditioning. Went down very well

This summer beer has a nice golden color and a nice head. The aroma is nicely hopped with notes of citrus. the flavour is crisp and has nice, light notes of caramel, fruit and a bit stronger also citrus. It’s an uncomplicated and delicious thirst quencher without any great depths to explore.
