Shiny amber, nice creamt offwhite head. Metallic aroma at first, hoppy but also fruity from pear and some grape. Hay and with some floral notes. Flavor is fruity with hoppy notes, grapes and with a hoppy finish with metallic notes. Underrated here if you ask me... leaparsons (10765) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - NOV 26, 2005
Bottle. Dark brown and ruby in colour. Aromas are nuts, metal and citrus with fruit and malts. Flavours are malty with some burnt character. Citrus hops follow with grapefruit bitterness on the finish. A little thin on the palate. Average stuff. MiP (15973) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - NOV 18, 2005
Bottle. Slightly hoppy aroma. Dark copper colour. Hop aromatic flavour...... imdownthepub (15333) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 16, 2005
Bottled, pasteurised, 500ml. Velvety red colour with short head. Pleasant fruity aroma leading to a full bodied beer with fruit and nut hints. There is a harshish dry bitter note with a distinctive dry tea taste, little citric lemon for me. The beer does mellow out, but the unfortunate GK signature hop taste pulls it back. Bottle (from Sainsburys BBE Jun 06). Aromas of nutty malts and floral almost citric hops clash sliightly. Improves in the body with a delicate hop finish neatly balancing chewy malts.

(Bottle 50 cl) Beautiful clear amber with a small, off-white head. Soft, nutty aroma. Incredibly smooth, soft body with typical fruity notes from the ale yeast. Flavour of nuts and caramel. A very pleasant and quaffable session ale. 291005 CampbellWilson (533) - SCOTLAND - NOV 7, 2005
Bottle from Sainsbury’s. Reddish brown with beige head. Malty fruity aroma with some grapefruit and plum, pasteurisation notes of cardboard and boiled sweet. Medium body with crisp finish. Not bad. harrisoni (19341) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - NOV 6, 2005
500ml bottle from Sainsbury. Pale chestnut colour with thin beige head. Odd malt/hop nose. Slghtly soapy and yeasty . Mouthfeel is a bit thin with sherberty hop on end. Some tangy hop with a touch of ginger. Just not very exciting hughie (3996) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 30, 2005
Poured from the bottle with a large head. Colour was dark amber with a sweet fruit aroma that I somehow didn’t really care for. A lot of fruit in the taste, quite sour, with a pleasant bitterness to follow. JonMoore (2067) - Loughborough, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 27, 2005
Bottle. Dark amber/ruby coloured with a large off-white head. Malty aroma with some fruits. Taste has grapefruit dominating, but is otherwise well balanced light hops and malts. Medium bodied, low to moderate carbonation. Quite pleasant.
