Cask @Great British Beer Festival 2014, London Olympia. 16-08-2014.Jonb5 (550) - Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 1, 2012
Pours clear copper with nice whie head. Liquorice, malty, fruity aromas. Taste follows the nose, moderate bitterness. Enjoyable.
Pint from the JDW real ale festival. Dark amber colour, clear, one finger head, decent retention. Aroma was berries and yeast, reminded me of a Belgian pale ale. Tasted malt and notes of rasperry, some hoppy bitterness at the finish. Smooth, minimal carbonation, texture on the thick side. Overall this was a good beer, had character, kept me interested. (on tap) Gold copper colour with slight white head. Aroma is subtle - candy with a hint of hops. Medium body, light carbonation. Flavour starts with sweet candy and light malt with a hint of port, and has a rich toffee and hoppy bitter finish. Overall a nice stronger ale - rich but very drinkable. Cask at Great British Beer Festival. Rusty deep ale with a nice bubbly white top. Honey and orange marmalade style nose. Tastes nice and smooth with the same marmalade notes but not quite hoppy enough for my personal tastes. Finishes sweet. berkshirejohn (6533) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - AUG 8, 2012
UPDATED: NOV 2, 2012 Cask at the Claude du Vall (JDW), Camberley. Amber with a scummy cream head; herbal aroma, with freshly cut grass; in the mouth there’s an immediate herbal, grassy, bitterness, before some tropical fruit appears; the body is sweet and oily, and the finish is rather tart. This is so much better than the bottled version. thepegjett (1260) - Cambridge (via Winnipeg), Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - MAY 13, 2012
Citrus...I’m shocked. Mid body, with a caramel gold colour... The best of the brewery by far.

UPDATED: JUN 9, 2012 cask at the wharf: Light head - but fine for a cask ale. Quite heavy nose w. Peach, flowers and a light sweetnes. Medium body and some length. Nice dry taste w. peach, light dry caramel. Jummy. oh6gdx (26487) - Vasa, FINLAND - AUG 19, 2012
Deep amber colour, small head. Aroma is fruity, floral, wooden, nectary and resiny with some mild raisins and quite citrusy notes. Flavour is vanilla, citrus, some sweet malts, caramel and mild earthyness.
