Bottled. A deep red beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of malt, alcohol, and spices - especially cinnamon. The flavor is acidic with light notes of malt and citrus, leading to a lightly tart finish. Fine aroma, but not flavor. Thanks fonefan for sharing.

[email protected] Very deep copper colour with a small beige head. Aroma is nutty, wooden mildly liquorice with some slight spicy notes as well. Flavour is roasted malts, some toffee and mild fruity notes. Rather roasty and ashy finish. Alternative bitter...

Although the name may suggest otherwise, this is a copper coloured, predominantly malty, bitter. Malty caramel aroma - a bit dull. Sweetish malty palate. Subtle hops and bitterness to provide some balance. Decent but not very exciting. cask (gravity dispense), Reading Beer Festival 2005.

Cask gravity London Drinker BF 07. Dark ruby colour with bubbly tan head. Oily liquorice stout. Some choc. Reasonably good in mouth. Finish is oily. OK, but a bit like crude oil.

yngwie (17233) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - OCT 26, 2008
Bottle. It pours a dark amber to reddish brown body, clear, with a dense, beige head on top. Roasted malt, bread and some fruit in the aroma. Slightly sourish in the mouth, with roasted malt, caramel, some bread and a fruity touch. Dry and thin. Roasted finish with a little fruityness. Slightly sour, maybe on it’s way to go really bad, but most of all it’s boring. Could use more of everything. (080823)

Cask (GBBF2011, Wed)
BLack, tan head. Milky roast aroma. Quite watery palate. Milky retronasals. Improves as it warms - it fills out. However, still a quite dull roasty beer. Despite the dullness, it’s pretty tasty, and hard to flaw. Nicely roasty finish tops things off. I approve.

Bottle. Pours amber/brown with a small creamy head. Nose is roasted - caramel. Taste has notes of coffee & Liquiorice. Smooth & a bit thin palate. Ok! But Where is the bitter?
