Growler filled at the brewery. Pours very dark brown, close to black, with a moderate tan head that lasted through the first third of the glass and left partial lace. Pleasant aroma of fruity Belgian yeast along with lesser amounts of lightly roasted malt and chocolate. The flavor is similar but favors more of the Belgian yeast and allows a bit less of the Black Duck Porter traits to come forward. Medium bodied. blipp (9268) - La Mesa, California, USA - APR 20, 2012
Draft. Pours near black with a beige head. Spicy saison-like yeasty aroma with chocolate malts. The flavor has spicy yeast, dark chocolate malts, herbal notes, and light floral hops. Nice. Pwn3d (1962) - Manhattan, New York, USA - APR 15, 2012

Tap at the stags head. Pours black I had no idea what this was based on the name I was not thinking porter with Belgian yeast. U get fruity Belgian yeast, roasted malt, chocolate, and earthy bitterness. Pretty tasty jtclockwork (16581) - , New Jersey, USA - JUN 5, 2011

Draft. Dark, hoppy, yeasty, almost like a black IPA in my opinion.. pretty easy on the palate and very drinkable and thirst quenching surprisingly. Very good saxo (18299) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - JUL 5, 2012
Tap @ The Stag’s Head, NYC. Nice head with good duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are dried fruits, yeast, candy sugar, caramel and hops. tgncc (3132) - Bellmore, New York, USA - JUL 5, 2011
The aroma is Belgian yeast, peppery, musty. Dark brown, light tan head on the pour. The flavor is Belgian yeast, roast, slight sourness. The finish is peppery, yeasty, sour, acidic. Medium to medium/thick in body. Decent enough. THe base porter (decent enough in its own right) more or less drowns in the flavor from the Belgian yeast.

Draft with Andrew at Blind Tiger. Pours a deep black body with thin carbonated off-white lacing. Aroma is belgian candy, spice, earthy hops and some wood. Mouthfeel is carbonated with notes of belgian spice, smoked malts, earthy hops, roast and wood. zdk (1917) - New York, New York, USA - SEP 25, 2011
filled the growler up at Port Jeff Bev, drunk at RBSG - Not bad, but I’m guessing this one was a bit too long in the growler. Milk chocolate and dark malts with a touch of hops. Plenty of phenollic, belgian yeasty character and some smoke and pepper spices.
