3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: NOV 5, 2012 Digging the deep amber color of this brew. Pumpkin comes through more than the spices with a very mild flavor all around. Great beer, but falls just short of spectacular. Let it warm up just a bit to really shine. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
An autumn ale which brings you a slice of pumpkin pie in a glass. Cinnamon, all spice, and nutmeg gives this ale its distinct character. Fall in.

Dark amber/copper color; Medium body; Aroma of malt, pumpkin, cinnamon, & some nutmeg; Flavor of sweet malt, pumpkin, cinnamon, some hops/grain, and nutmeg; Surprised by this one - pretty decent. jflopsu (1862) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - SEP 29, 2017
UPDATED: SEP 29, 2017 Pours a clear amber-orange with no head. A faint pumpkin and fall spice aroma. A sweet taste of pumpkin spice, nutmeg, cinnamon and grains. A slight watered down taste with a lingering spice afteraste. Slipstream (2720) - USA - FEB 4, 2017
Here is one that I liked more than I thout I would. Very good flavor - a lightly sour and spicy ale. To me it seemed mor like a September than a November beer. Some apple cider, allspice, and a touch of cinnamon. Fairly soft on the palate, with a tart, funky aroma. Leaf Pile is a nice change from the increasingly common run-of-the-mill pumpkin ales. Not served with sugar so it’s not messy like some other pumpkin beers. I found it to be very tasty, and they were super easy to drink. Drinkability of a Belgian but not as wimpy!

Crisp copper and light brown coloured body with a bit of a rusty glow and a thinnish, two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of light pumpkin pie spice, allspice and a bit of toffee and caramelised sugars, but the squash is by far the strongest flavour in the mix. Medium-bodied; Assertive malty and deep squash flavours start the beer out with a good spice flavour with some caramelised sugars as well. Aftertaste is more densely spiced with nutmeg and allspice, but showing some canella as well. Overall, a very nice squash-based autumn beer with a good profile and smooth complexity on the finish. I sampled this stubby twelve ource bottle purchased from Whole Foods in New York (Chelsea), New York on 04-December-2015 for US$2,99 sampled on the train down from New York to Washington on 06-December-2015. solidfunk (9741) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - NOV 26, 2015

Nice little pumpkin beer. Had on tap. Nothing to blow up your skirt but hit all the right notes in good balance. If you see it grab it.
