500ml Bottle - Golden with a white head. Grassy and slightly grainy aroma. Malty, grainy and slightly sweet taste with notes of white bread and citrus detected.

Svesse (8942) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - NOV 18, 2017
(Bottle, Foersters Feine Biere, Berlin, 24 Aug 2017) Golden colour with lasting white head. Malty, hoppy nose with bread, grain, grass and herbal hops. Malty taste with notes of bread, hay, grass, cereal and a mild grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and well made helles. Enjoyable.

hauxe (1017) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - JUN 23, 2017
Pours light gold from the bottle and leaves a frothy white crown that gently settles. Aroma is lightly herbal, grassy. Taste is sweet with a gentle bitterness near the end. Grainy. Light-bodied, a bit thin at times, but refreshing. Overall unremarkable.

Leicht fruchtig malziger Geschmack. Säuerlicher Geschmack kommt auch noch dazu. Zu mild!

Many thanks for this beer to kevnic2008. Piwo z piana mniejsza niz centymetr, zlocista barwa i jaskrawym odcieniem. Aromat kwiatow rumianku. smak slodowy, delikatny, lekko kukurydziany, nagietkowy. Prawie jak lager

Bottle from a Späti in NK - Clear golden color, small head. Taste is dough, hay. Medium malty body. Finish is medium sweet with some metallic undertones. Semigood.

I am a sucker for old traditional Helle and discovering new ones. This is so decently a good Helle and it has the decency to remain so unremarkable in it’s design and marketing. German brewing sometimes need no strings to be attached.

bartlebier (4214) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - JAN 7, 2016
50cl bb06/2016, maruhn. - Fizzy beige yellow pour, macropores. Strawy aroma, getting lots of rice waffles here (Alnatura Reiswaffel to be precise), maybe some fancier almond husks. First straw in taste, then delivered on ebullient waves of heavy carbonation, again: those musty fart waffles made of rice. Odd, if probably natural. What is not: aftertaste of bitter sweet cardboard and soaked cornflakes. Might revisit in situ, on tapu.

Chopper925 (597) - Gross Gerau, GERMANY - JAN 1, 2016
Bottle. Clear pale golden color, small white head. Grainy, cereal aroma. Sweet taste, medium bitter. Medium to thick body, lower carbonation. Very malty, cereal aftertaste.

Draft at the brewery during day 2 of the Bamberg Jolly of January 2014. Pours perfectly clear yellow-gold with a big, frothy white head. Lightly effervescent. Gorgeous beer. Good sweetness, nice cereal notes, some meringue, light bitter straw. Light bodied with average carbonation. Crispy finish with moderately sweet cereal, further bitter straw, creamy meringue. Excellent lager.
