Appearance: cloudy deep orange with off-white head.
Aroma: flowery hops, malt.
Taste: some sweet and medium bitter.
Palate: smooth, medium bitter-sweet body, low CO2.
(draught) pours a hazy ruby-amber colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of cherries, bubble gum, light honey and roasted malts, with a hint of ash. flavour is mostly just roasted malts, slightly grainy, with a hint of yeast, tobacco, butter and nettles. medium-bodied with average carbonation. TAR (2760) - Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA - DEC 31, 2012
Draught at Brauereigasthof Greifenklau in Nov., 2011: Yellowish orange. creamy and fluffy white head. Repelling nose of dirty malt and considerable huskiness (popcorn) with a hint of soap. Faint spicy hops. Soft carbonation leaves a foamy residue on the palate. Severely grainy with husky malts underlain with caramel-heavy, cookielike malt. Concrete-tainted yeastiness strongly exacerbates the astringent malt. Salty mineral is pleasant but little else to salvage drinkability. Hops are spicy and oily and lightly floral, though things continually lean toward sloppy and muddled as the body is quite worty and underattenuated. Closes dully and limply with ongoing concrete notes wreaking havoc. Very difficult to stomach...sloppy and amateurish.

Draft. Poured into a ceramic mug with a thick off white head. Pale and sweetish malts, lighter earthy notes, and a sweet malty finish. Good, not great. TaktikMTL (7790) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 29, 2011

My Bottom Line : fonefan (49293) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JUL 23, 2011
Pillowy toasted and caramelized cereals are balanced out by herbal hops and their bitterness in this amenable Dunkel.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-A veil of foam covers the misty deep amber.
-That plush mouthfeel is lovely, just like their Lagerbier’s.
-The frothy carbonation is perfectly levelled with the supple residual sugars.
-Apricot jam-like fruitiness is also found within.
On tap at the brewery gasthof.
