COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
If our beyond oblivious and flying buffalo stout had a baby...this would be it. Add some spices and you have a dark passenger. A tart blast with a rich sweet finish.

2014 vintage. Poured a brown color with a tan head. Dark fruits, vanilla, chocolate, and lighter spices (which is good for me). Started out sweet and ended in a light tart finish with the alcohol content overall well hidden.

Bottled at Clubhouse BFD. Pours black, tan head. Aroma is cinnamon, chocolate, roasted malt, very cinnamon heavy, vanilla. Flavor is cinnamon, roasted malt, chocolate, more cinnamon and then some cinnamon. Too much cinnamon. And that’s not something I say lightly. No sourness.

Black pour under a thin light tan head. Funky weird chocolate fruity monkey bready nose. But the flavor is amazing and full of gentle oak barrel and gentle plum and grapey fruitiness with boozy wheaty whiskey and more plum and semisweet funky tartness. Really amazing flavor just wish it didn’t smell so weird.

Shared bottle from a trade. Poured hazy brownish with tan head. Nose was caramel malt, hops, dark fruit. Tasted tart caramelly, with notes of tart dark fruit, vanilla, wood. More late fruitiness.

Wow, rating for this are all over the place. Poured a caramel color with a beige head. Aroma was of caramel, dark fruit, vanilla and tanins. Flavor similar, hard to make out the flavors in this one but can’t say I hated it.

Pours a dark medium brown color without a head. Aroma is a bit cheesy. Taste is slightly sour with a tad bit of roast in it. Ok stuff.

22oz bottle. Dark brown hue with a low, tan head. Wow! As good as it was 7 months ago: Tasted of (in no particular order): treacle, plum, cinnamon, fig, oak, maple, bourbon, chocolate, nutmeg, dark cherry, earthy, caramel, toffee, sherry & light sour notes. Really well balanced and enjoyable. Full- body and moderate carbonation.

22 oz bottle. Pours black with a tan head. Sour and raisin aroma. Sweet molasses and soy flavor, slight sour and nutmeg-type spice. Very, very sweet, but it’s rather tasty. Not at all what I expected when I bought it, but that’s probably because I missed the "D" in "Dark" in the name.

22 oz bottle shared by DrSilverworm. Pours a dark brown color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet malts, caramel, fruity with a mild tart character, wood, plum, sweet with mild tartness works pretty well, no sign of the abv.
