This is pretty good, clean golden colour, with a good white head. Quite sweet but nicely balanced, has a good long finish. The highish alcohol has the desired affect but isnt overpowering. Your local Tesco should have this.

Appearance: golden to orange color. Medium head, white, lasting and adherent to glass. Aroma: malts smells and wheat reminiscences. Citric touches similar to oranges and pineapples aromas. Yeast; citric and herbal hoppy. Flavor: persistent pale malts and some wheat reminiscences. Citric-sweet fruitiness like tangerines, papayas and pineapples in syrup. Sugar and slight homey note. Low hoppy taste with light metallic touch. Palate: medium body and semi-oily texture. Light to medium carbonation. Slightly unbalanced, the final alcoholic degree make up the start sweetness. Nice fruity touch.

Bottle, bought @ SuperBrugsen, Billund. Pours a very pale golden with a slight haze in the centre. A smallish bubbly white head on top with some lacing. Aroma is sweetish with som yeast, biscuit and light fruity tartness. Rather nice mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Flavour is light metallic, some exotic fruits and a nice zesty tartness. A touch of bitterness. An okay tripel, but there are so many better ones...

UPDATED: DEC 17, 2014 Dark golden colour with an average, creamy white head, mostly lasting and with good lacing. The aroma is malty with light notes of toasted grain. Flavor has alcohol, candi-sugar, hops and fruits. The finish has some sweetness and some bitterness.

Bottle poured into proper glass. Nice fluffy white head and crystal clear. Laces the whole way too. Nice yellow/straw color. This beer had a nice nose of spicy hop nose to it. Mouth feel was somewhat thin though. Not every tripel can be Chimay though. Malt was noticeable and and all in all, a nice session beer. You cant say that about most tripels since they tend to knock you on your butt.

Interesting beer....slight fruit/citrus on the nose, followed by the same in the palate, but also with some subtle hops. Finish is crisp and clean. A bit weak to be a Trippel, but decent none the less.

Small bottle picked up at BOTW and consumed right away. Pour is crystal clear pale orange. Head consists of a thin sparse layer of white with spotty clusters of more dense white froth. Aroma is slightly sweet and fruity. If I pick up any hops, they are light, and a touch peppery. The flavor is light, well balanced sweetness and a faint cleansing hops. A light and refreshing Belgian. Tasty.

The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Very fine, creamy foam. The beer is strong but very drinkable, a little bit sweet. Well done!

Poured a slightly hazy dark yellow. Fruity aroma. Taste was pretty standard for an abbey ale. More sweet and fruity than expected, however. Overall not bad.

Not as bad as one might expect it to be. Rather better than the dubbel, but not a favourite of the noble Crabapple family.
