Crushed with Jakebra and co. One of my bra’s favorite beers, but I wasn’t too impressed. Definitely looks sexy, but the flavor was a little too mellow pour moi. liinis (1791) - Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 24, 2008
dark red brown and clear with a off-white small head. in aroma and flavor I find Bassetts English WineGum sweets. some good red wine, fruits and something sour. great fun. evilsoc (191) - WALES - SEP 16, 2008
Mahogany red ruby colour with big off-white tan head. Lovely looking beverage. Sweet and sour aroma of off red fruit. complex. Big malty sweet flavour almost too sweet but the depth is there to keep it interesting. Some cherries, chocolate, liquorice really moreish. The finish is almost slightly disappointing as its not quite dry enough for my taste. Good beer though and readily available. Try with chery ice cream and or ammareti biscuits.! Bottle: Poured a deep brown color ale with a light off-white head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of candi sugar with some deep Belgian sweet malt. Taste is a well balance mix between some candi sugar and some semi-sweet Belgian malt. Body is quite full for the style with some good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. This one may be lacking some complexity (dry fruits for example) but still a very good and solid example for the style. Cletus (6368) - Connecticut, USA - SEP 10, 2008
Pours brown with a nice tan head. Smells of cherries, fresh fruit, caramel, some hints of spice, earthy. Tastes fruity with a nice balance of sweet malt and an underlying tartness. Mouthfeel is slick. The finish on this is fruity. A touch of honey shows up as this warms. A great example of the style.

A reddish brown ale with a thick creamy moka head. Nice caramel toffee aroma with orange peels notes. In mouth, a sweet caramel malt, orange peels and light hopping, treacle notes. Medium bodied. A classy dybbel. Bought at Supersol, Vall d’Hebron, 1.35 E. and tasted mid Nov. 2006. AllAboutStout (605) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 1, 2008
Pours a ruby brown in color. Decent amount of pillowy head. Decent carbonation. I’m usually not a big fan of Dubbels, but this had more flavors that I do like. There was a definite toffee flavor, as well as a very nice dark fruit appearing as well. Which I didn’t mind at all. Good beer. Straling (363) - Hoensbroek, NETHERLANDS - AUG 27, 2008
Pours an nice clear brown/red colour, good size head, but doesn’t last very long. Very sweet aroma, can detect many fruits, mainly cherries and pears.
Also a faint smell of nuts.
Goes down the hatch very smooth, taste gives away the fruits again, but even stronger and more powerful. Hops also in the taste, with a touch of the alcohol, great combination all together.

...draft at european beer cafe. Cherries on the nose, with a nice dark brown colour and lively carbonation. Decent sized off-white head that lasted till the end with good lacing. Flavor was nice, caramel, roasted malt, with some brandy and hints of dark fruits. Easy drinking, smooth, well balanced. Some slight spice notes in the relatively dry finish, with a good aftertaste. A good beer than I had not tried before, and will be having again.
