On tap. Ruby-like body, with a low creamy white head that stays until I finish my beer. No actual smell at the start, alcoholic aroma as the beer gets warmer. Medium bitter taste, medium bitter aftertaste. Very smooth texture, medium to heavy body, low carbonation level. Really doesn’t resemble the style.

UPDATED: JAN 21, 2018 Pleasant beer, but a slightly bit too sweet for me. The palate sensation is great.

Belle surprise

330ml dark bottle, filtered, from BeerWulf. I thought I'd already rated this as it's a regular beer. Anyway. Nice beer. Quite perfumed from decent malts and a decent heat in the fermentation. Bubblegum and chocolate. Sweet enough and malty enough. A little too clean from being filtered, but that's a small point. Generally, a decent malty drink.

Dark brown with red highlights, creamy beige head. Dried fruit, raisins, some caramel, medium sweet and light acidic. Medium to thick body. Good.

Beautifully coloured. Taste is sweet and with cola and syrupy notes. I understand why some people like this beer, but I must admit that it is not so in my case. Simply, there are so many Abbey Dubbel beers that are much better.

Too sweet. No real belgian type notes. Very rich. Could see how some people could realy like it but not so much me.
