Bottled, filtered, 330ml at A ge Pannes, Schin op Geul, NL Limburg. Dark brown with cream head. Another I thought I had rated in the past, thank god for a PDA and a beer list. Sugary sweet dubbel without too much to overcome the sweetness. There is some malty fruitiness if you try and a touch of deep roasted malt, but I am beggining to struggle with the Belgian taste for sweetness. gunnfryd (15490) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUL 21, 2006

11.2 ounce bottle from Kybecca in Fredericksburg, VA. Pours a dark clear auburn color with lots of carbonation a moderate sized tan head. Decent head retention and good lacing. Aroma of nutty notes, cherry, caramel, bready, cinnamon, yeast. Taste is cherries, bread, cinnamon, yeast, caramel. Medium bodied. Good dubbel. Dogbrick (14316) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 22, 2004
Thanks to Darkover for the trade. This brew pours a dark reddish-brown color with a thick beige head that disappeared pretty fast. Decent lacing. The aroma is malty and sweet but there is a hint of sour fruit at times as well. Medium-bodied with a vinous character. Malt, hops and a touch of alcohol don’t seem to mesh well for some reason. The flavor is decent but unbalanced somehow. The finish is fruity and sweet. Overall a decent Dubbel but I feel it could be much better. Lubiere (14247) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 1, 2008
A reddish brown ale with a thick creamy moka head. Nice caramel toffee aroma with orange peels notes. In mouth, a sweet caramel malt, orange peels and light hopping, treacle notes. Medium bodied. A classy dybbel. Bought at Supersol, Vall d’Hebron, 1.35 E. and tasted mid Nov. 2006.
