UPDATED: AUG 15, 2017 Botella 33 cl en la antigua Internacional Oviedo. Lote 16:27A hasta 28..03..2003. (r209). Sabores dulces ligeramente tostados. Buena.

Ambar de buena espuma. Aroma acaramelado, azucarado. En boca resulta excesiva y poco equilibrada. Exceso de tono alcohólico, bien evidente. Y exceso de gas. Decepcionante.

330ml bottle poured in its own chalice. Best Dubbel I’ve ever had even not being a big fan of the style. A: Dark amber to brown color. Huge beige head formed when poured. Medium retention. MANY lacings left around S: Not a smell but a perfume. Complex. Sweet. Honey and dark fruits are a must. Mainly raisins. Traditional smell of Belgian yeasts and flowery hops. Oak and roasted malts T: Pretty much like the nose. Taste is dominated by roasted and caramel malts. Honey, raisins, oak, Belgian yeasts. Sweet upfront followed by a nice bitterness. M: A bit watery. Medium to light body. Medium to low carbonation. D: Good drinkability. You definitely do not feel the 7.5% ABV [ BA Review @ 10/29/2010 ]

The follow-up to Union’s original Cuvée de l’Ermitage, a bitterish, then-renowned ale that has been included in the Grimbergen range years ago and doesn’t exist anymore in its original form. This version is a tad darker and sweeter than the original, caramel malts, bit woody, dried fruits, relatively long, hoppy finish. Still better than most other Grimbergens.

Boring Belgian blond beer. Grimbergen’s Tripel and Gold are better than this.

--> nicht so überzeugend!!
