650ml bottle @ Matt's. Pours a cloudy purple pink colour with nearly no head. Nose is tart blueberries. Flavour is upfront quite tart blueberry with a citrus twist and a light about of lacto. It's light bodied with lots of mouth carbonation and overall it has a very low sweetness. It comes off a bit harsh as such.

22 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy deep pink with a tiny white head. Aroma brings out lots of lacto and tart blueberries. Flavour is very tart, with puckeringly dry, tart blueberry, light lacto and a touch of citrus. Pleasantly tart and well-balanced. Nicely done.

Hazy, Light purple. Not much head. Tart and fruity, with a lot of blueberries. Clean, balanced tartness, probably a bit of yeastiness. I like the balance between fruit and tartness...I wonder if the lactose and vanilla do much, but this is pretty rounded.

Pours ruby blue into a snifter. Pink head with excellent retention recedes to coat surface. Lemon and vanilla aromas. Sharp with vanilla and lemon upfront. Mild hint of blueberry and lacto in the medium length finish.

June 2017 bottle drunk 7/18/17.
Blood red with no head. Lightly cloudy, though not overly so.
Smells tart, even though that's not an aroma. Vanilla and lactic acid are well-integrated, as usual for this series. Fruity and moderately juicy with lots of peppery, tannic blueberry skin.
Dry and heavily carbonated to start with more vanilla than usual, though it works nicely alongside the dry, tart, tannic, acidic blueberry character. It's not as starkly dry, lactic and borderline astringent as the mango version, but it's also no where near as juicy, full and round as the cherry/raspberry/blackberry versions.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled in 6/2017. Pours lightly hazy reddish/pink/purple color with a 1-2 finger foamy light pink head with good retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tart/sour blueberries, fruit skin, cherry, plum, lemon, lime, green apple, red grape, hay, grass, wheat, cracker, vanilla, cream, light lacto funk/pepper, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, blueberries, vanilla, lactose, and light-moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/sour blueberries, fruit skin, cherry, plum, lemon, lime, green apple, red grape, hay, grass, wheat, cracker, vanilla, cream, light lacto funk/pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and yeast spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart blueberries, fruit skin, cherry, plum, lemon, lime, green apple, red grape, hay, grass, wheat, cracker, vanilla, cream, light lacto funk/pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, blueberries, vanilla, lactose, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tart/spiciness balance, and zero puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. High carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy, and acidic/tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Very crisp, foamy, and dry from carbonation. Clean finishing. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.8%. Overall this is an excellent fruited Berliner weisse. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, blueberries, vanilla, lactose, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink; with the balanced tart/dry finish. Really great balance of the base style and fruit flavors. The lactose balances the acidity, and the carbonation makes this insanely easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering, and great style example.
