3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle thanks to Perrin515. Pours reddish amber with creamy white head. Nose and taste of sweet malt, caramel sap, dried citrus fruits and baked cookies. Medium body. On the sweeter side for the style. Clean.
12 ounce can.
Pours an almost clear dark gold, an inch of foam once it settles down. Good lacing.
It smells spicy, bready, light hoppiness, more of the spice.
Bready malt up front, spicy kick like rye, some sweet notes, some bitter.
Good mouthfeel and anything but a boring Oktoberfest. Nice. Iphonephan (7186) - Jackson Hole/McLean, Virginia, USA - SEP 24, 2017
On draft in Greeley. Pours a clear pale mahogany with an off white head. Aromas of toffee. Moderately sweet caramel flavor. Smooth finish. andrewje41 (4153) - Kenmore, Washington, USA - DEC 4, 2016
12 oz can poured. Pours a thick shadowed copper color with a lasting cream head. Bengals touchdown rate. Extra point good. Finally. Very bready malt aroma. Soft spice. Creamy bread malt flavor as well. A delicious malt bill for sure. Lingering palate forever. Just a hint of a rye like spice. A nice fall/winter lager. September 14th, 2014 - Served alongside a piping hot Perry’s pizza, the Grimm Brothers Fathers Daughter Oktoberfest is a damn fine addition to an impeccably baked pie. Lighter than most brunette Oktoberfests that I’ve had, it’s closer to a blonde (an homage to the daughter in the title?), with an aroma replete with peanuts and the chocolate flavor of a tootsie roll. The palate is a little on the flat side, though this is somewhat appropriate given a thinner body. But the flavor seems tainted, with a chemical touch and a savory aspect like a chicken tender, which might be an artifact of somewhat’s appetizer invading my aroma air space. zoucrew102 (2046) - - OCT 16, 2016
Can. Caramel malt aroma with notes of hay, toffee, and toast. Pours clear caramel colored with a thin white head that has poor retention and no lacing. Starts with sweet caramel and toffee malt flavors. Finishes smooth and a bit dry with hay and straw flavors getting mixed in with the sweetness as well as a bit of toast. Decent Oktoberfest.

On tap at the brewery. Dark orange and clear appearance with a small head. Aroma of caramel malt, toffee, bread, toasted grain and a touch of spicy hops. Similar flavor, grainy, mildly sweet and lightly bitter. Light to medium body with a light dry finish. Slightly sweeter than what I am used to, but still a solid rendition. Very malty, I think it needs a little more hops, the more I drink the more I question, I like the breweryc, just questioning this one onceblind (10290) - Denver, Colorado, USA - SEP 29, 2014
Slightly hazy copper with a biscuity pretzel nose. The flavor is a bit blandish with earthy lagered caramel flavors, but finishes slightly metallic. fonefan (50530) - VestJylland, DENMARK - FEB 13, 2014
