Tap at First Draft, Denver. Amber shade. Big white head. Floral aroma. Orangey hints, big malts, almost like Irn Bru at times. Not bad. williamstome (2060) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 15, 2017
Amber pour, small off-white head. Aroma of nuts, toast, and fruit. Flavor is actually quite bitter, with a caramel and fruit backbone. Dry, astringent mouthfeel. Dogbrick (14389) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - APR 27, 2017
This brew is a clear brownish-mahogany color with a medium light beige head that dissipates steadily. Aroma of malt, hops and caramel. Medium body with flavors of roasted malt, earthy hops and caramel. The finish is sweet with a roast malt aftertaste. Decent overall. swesson (477) - Highlands Ranch, Colorado, USA - APR 21, 2017
From a can. Pours amber and makes a thin off white head. Aroma is of roasted malt and biscuit. Taste is a bit metallic and malty. Not bad but not great.

Deep copper with amber highlights. Malty, light spice, caramel, biscuit dough. Medium bodied. Nothing special just a nice alt.

Sample at the Estes Park Winter Festival. Bronze color, with a big, foamy, tan head. Butterscotch and toffee up front, with some resinous hops and bread dough in the finish. Sweet, with an underlying bitterness. Medium body, chalky, and smooth. This is a pretty good example. Good maltiness, but a little overhopped. Grand Junction, CO - College Liquors - 12 oz can. Dark copper, slightly hazy pour with a tight snow white head. Aroma has some peanut shells, a touch of toffee. Earthy flavor, a touch of mint, some light subtle citrus bitterness. Clean, even mouthfeel. ben4321 (6900) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - NOV 24, 2015
Sampled at the brewery, 11/24/15. Amber-orange pour. Streaky lacing. Citrus hop, some bready and caramel flavors. Spice comes through as well. Average to lively carbonation. Bill Becker (2051) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - OCT 4, 2015
2 ounce can.
Pours a clear copper colour with a small head of foam that shrinks quickly but not entirely. Lacing is pretty good.
It smells pretty hoppy but underneath, I get a notable aroma of caramel malt.
Taste wise, it’s pretty much 50-50 with the sweet vs the bitter. Except in the finish where it is decidedly bitter. The sweet isn’t all that sweet either. More of a semi sweet flavour that I would usually associate with something like molasses. There’s also a hint or 2 of onion or something vegetal, like what you get in some of the IPAs. A bit distracting that is.
Interesting brew. Travlr (26946) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 24, 2015
Sample at the Great Nebraska Beer Festival. Clear amber brown color, tan head. Aroma of lightly burnt caramel. Taste is earthy caramel. Nice.
