Grisette Blanche belongs to the rich family of Belgian white beers. It is therefore very refreshing in summer. However, it remains a full-bodied, savoury beer offering lots of contrast. Its head is typical of wheaty beers - creamy and compact - with an opaque, hazy appearance.

(Bottle 25 cl) Pale golden with a slight cloudiness and a huge, almost chemically white head. Archetypical Belgian Witbier. Spicy and perfumy (coriander and orange peel) and almost no bitterness. Extremely quenching. 170302

Bottled at Pressklubben, Stockholm. Pale golden, some sediment, minimal head. Light citric nose with some coriander. Light bodied and rather lifeless with some brief wheat malt character before a short appley finish. A thin witbier lacking finesse, and with an industrial feel to it.

Bottle in Brussels. Cloudy, pale yellow pour with a large, frothy white head. Immensely pungent nose, loads of coriander spices, lemon, wheat. Medium sweet flavour with tangy lemon, lots of bready wheat, cloves, esters, coriander, whipped cream. Light bodied with average to lively carbonation. Sweet, lightly spicy finish with some sugary wheat, white bread, a touch of soap, and lemon. At times its a bit sweeter and potent than a witbier ought to be, but overall its nice.
