COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Scintillating, fresh and delicately flavoured, Grisette Fruits des Bois is a light, refreshing beer that is brewed with the best malt and wheat. This blend creates a riot of sweet yet slightly bitter tastes redolent of wild berries and other exquisite fruits of the forest.

Red colour, pink foam. Medium carbonation. Very sweet fruit beer, artificial sweeteners, sugar and red candy. Not very well balanced. Some sour hints and light bitterness in the finish.

25cl bb03/2015. Basically a decent quality supermarket-level cassis, strawberry and raspberry jam poured into a generic wit. Fluffy, yet bogged down by artificial sweeteners before it departs into a refreshing direction, perfumed rather than tasteful. Nothing offensively bad, mothers favourite over many a syrup beer concoction.

On tap at Moeder Lambic. Deep cloudy red pour with pink foam. Aroma is fruity, blueberry raspberry, really fruity, jam, a bit of rotten fruit. Taste is sweet, fruity, tropical fruit, lots of berries, kind of reminiscent of Timmermans woodvruchten. Palate is medium bodied. Not very good, but not as bad as the ratings.

Leichter DMS-Geruch, der aber auch von den Waldfrchten kommen kann. Im Geschmack dann eine seltsame Restse. Sstoff? Leicht astringieren

Bottle. Cloudy purple. Stinky, a little barf aroma, sweet taste with some pickle juice sourness. Med. body, sleek, mildly carbonated, sweet, candy finish.

Draught @ Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels. 3.9.2012.
Hazy deep red beer with reddish white frothy head. Actually quite malty aroma with lots of raspberries and blueberries. Flavour is really sweet with lots of berries as well. Actually not bad if you can tolerate the sweetness.

A little barnyard aroma, some sour notes and then...nothing. Ok, I'll have another zip - must just be dry. Nope - nothing. This beer tastes like nothing. Nothing good, nothing bad - just nothing. As much as I've had beer far more terrible, zero taste equals zero taste score. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
