This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of finely sized brown colored bubbles. The body contained no visible carbonation, was opaque and dark ruby red brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of nice Porter dark malt molasses and was just excellent. Its mouth feel is smooth and malty with a nice malt bite in the finish. Its flavor contained smoke molasses and sweet malty notes. It was excellent very tasty. A fantastic beer that I would love to buy again and again and again.

Draft at the Grizzly Peak Brewing Co. Tan head, excellent lacing, opaque, no visible carbonation, and a ruby hue. Malty, chocolate and coffe in the aroma. Coffee and malt flavor. Smooth on the palate. Extremely good Porter and a must try.

This is my favorite offering from Grizzly peaks. Wonderful dark color with a tan head that lasts, coffee/choclate flavor without getting TOO sweet. Nice finish. Pairs wonderfully with a good burger.

Very good and highly carbonated. Cherries with a bit of smokey flavor. Appearance is very nice with a small white head. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very nice appearance, weak head and a bit of lacing. Strong coffee flavor and bitterness this is a very nice porter!

On tap at the brewpub. An outstanding porter, as validated by the two enthusiastic homebrewers with me on this excursion. Has a rich, dark roasted malt flavor with faint smoke but no burnt notes. Lasting roasty aftertaste. Nothing unusual here, just a very well crafted porter. Near black in the glass, it is clear and has a partially durable tan head. Smooth. Recommended.

Pitch black with little to no head to speak of, a few tan bubbles around the edge. Licorice and smoke in the nose, big body, thick mouthfeel, anicey, like a big Schwarzbier or thick London Porter. Dry at the finish more black licorice and a touch of bitterness. Yum!

auerbrau (3203) - Ithaca, New York, USA - JAN 21, 2006
A pour of dark brown, with a creamy tan head. Aroma of light molasses. Flavor is extremely rich, melded from smoke, bacon, coffee, chocolate and toast. Lots of heavy cream, molasses and honey. Touch of toffee and brown sugar. Palate is a touch sticky, but the suprising dose of hops keep in clean. Very respectable.
